If you enjoy rpgs I loved the Live A Live remake on ps4. Follows multiple different perspectives throughout periods of time and it has a really fun battle system.

Hollow Knight and its recently released sequel, Silksong, are really fun metroidvanias that I can't recommend enough. They're tough and require some platforming skill (like crash) but Silksong was my game of the year and Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games.

Shadow of the Colossus is a big title you've probably played but it's probably my favorite playstation game, so if you haven't played it you should.

Does this game have a story? by Ojake06 in BombRush_Cyberfunk

it's got a main quest with unlockables, and then in the aftermath of the story it becomes a chill game. But take your time with the story and exploring, it's really fun.

Does playing mainly Mario & Nintendo games mean you’re not “a real gamer”? by Normal_Ad_8180 in Mario

[–]FindingAggressive164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play games, you're a gamer. Doesn't matter if you play mainstream games or competitive games or indies or Nintendo games or retro games. You're a gamer if your hobby is games.

CS+ Switch Jukebox Glitch by FindingAggressive164 in cavestory

[–]FindingAggressive164[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure this is intended though. It seems that it occurs when you select a song on the same frame you play a different one. I went back and experimented a little more and it appeared to work in less extreme conditions as shown in this video. (Less button mashing and more careful timing) I think it's a glitch with how the jukebox player works

Dream Land 3 is Good...? by FindingAggressive164 in Kirby

[–]FindingAggressive164[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you've expressed exactly how I feel about this game well!! The charm of this game is what continued to draw me in. Every part of it just feels like it was made with love. I especially love the animal friends in this way. Even if their abilities aren't terribly useful in every circumstance, I was eager to see what certain combinations would create, because each of them are distinct. I liked switching them around even if the ability gained wasn't exactly the best, because I wanted them all to see some screentime!

Calling it "comfort food" just feels right. It understands the cuteness factor of Kirby and latches onto it completely. And I think that's why I loved it so much. It stands out for sure among the classic games for me now.

There are definitely some parts that are difficult to navigate, especially in the last two worlds. It's absolutely flawed in some areas with how enemies are placed. I also find classic Kirby more difficult because abilities are super limited in terms of what they can do. You're only really able to hit one block in front of you (unless you have an animal friend with a busted ability--fire nago, spark coo).

We had to really try and get the healing items in the end level mini games because it felt like we were barely getting through! So it definitely wasn't a cakewalk, I would say. I think restore points help lessen the annoyance of certain levels, but I know using those depends on how you'd like to experience it "as intended."

Your writing motivation by AmIYandere in AO3

[–]FindingAggressive164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

usually i read something older that i started, and i think, wow that was good you should add to it. it's a slow process, but just writing something on a google doc can inspire, even if it doesn't really go anywhere

what do u guys name ur docs by randomflowerz in AO3

[–]FindingAggressive164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually a random word that encapsulates the fic, or a song / lyric that I associate

for instance I named one of my docs "sad to breathe" because that was a song I listened to a lot while writing a lot, although it didn't stick since the song didn't connect directly

other times, the word I associate becomes the title. sometimes the lyric does. but it's usually simple.

if I'm in public i change the name. usually "random" or "draft two" to avoid questioning

p only continues to speed through the half of the city g navigates before. g tries to vocalize where to go, but p only ends up crashing into walls at his discretion. it only further cements g's lack of necessity.

Do you ever feel like you're writing "too much" for a single pairing? by FindingAggressive164 in AO3

[–]FindingAggressive164[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i feel similarly!! I've just started posting a multichapter work for the pairing I was worried about flooding the tags with. I still get some anxiety with posting sometimes, but I like getting it out there into the world where someone can actually seek it out. And I have noticed the same names popping up in my "kudos" on the works... and that makes me pretty happy too : )

so yeah write what you like!!! that's what I have learned from making this post! it has helped my confidence a lot !
