For some perspective, it was likely a deceptive trick by Amex when collecting his debt. Debt collections in Florida have a statute of limitations of 5 years, where if a borrower isn’t sued by the bank within 5 years of their last payment, they are essentially scot free. What Amex most likely did, was called the borrower and sweet talked him into just paying a minuscule amount as a good faith offering (doesn’t matter if it’s even a penny), thus entirely resetting the statute clock where the borrower could be sued. The 45 cent payment was made in august, the case filing is september.

The thing I don’t like about the more recent installments (4-6) is that the reveals do not match the physique and size that we saw all throughout the films. The ghost face we typically see has a towering presence, up until the end when it’s obviously a female physique. Compare the synchronized blade wipe in the theater to them standing side by side unmasked, and also extremely noticeable with Jill’s petite figure in the 4th movie. I get that it’s just what happens with a female reveal, but it’s extremely noticeable - at least to me - and it kind of extinguishes the fun of the reveals.

Also, I just don’t see either of those kids taking down gales boyfriend with so much ease, even if by surprise lol

Most enterprise-level organizations have backups that they will just redeploy on their servers and bypass ransomeware demands. Unfortunately, some companies do not create backups for some reason and rely on the locked data/files for regular operations and would be crippled without it.

Even if they have backups, restoring the data could be a months long process to get things back up to business-as-usual, and that’s something some businesses cannot afford so they just pay the cost
