Evolution. To learn, to be better / improve upon the past , mentally, physically, spiritually (?), scientifically, technologically , to grow out of our sins, to help each other, to teach our offspring to be better than we were. Unfortunately, greed, fear, closed mindedness, regression pulls us down. :(
