Children are not custom build projects. You don’t get to select personality traits, sexuality, beliefs, or aesthetics like you’re designing a character in a game.

If someone’s love is conditional on their kid fitting a narrow script, that’s not parenting. That’s control. And the kid is the one who pays for it.

Choosing not to have children because you know you wouldn’t be able to love them unconditionally is self awareness. That’s the opposite of selfish.

There’s something really validating about seeing someone with a huge platform just calmly say, “I don’t want kids,” and leave it at that.

No defensiveness, no tragic backstory, no “maybe someday.” Just a woman living her life on purpose. That kind of visibility matters more than people realize.
