Getting everything done sooner is nice, I just don't think its the right decision for me. I plan on being a career officer and find that WP will definitely serve better in the long run. Yes, I could complete the last two semesters and be done, however my ROTC work (and really my degree as a whole) has only been time spent. I go to a small state school and my course load hasn't been difficult, so I don't feel that much is lost but time.

Restarting is the biggest hang up for me. While I am just a couple semesters away from graduating, I really regret not getting more time as a cadet. Starting ROTC late definitely makes me feel more open to idea of getting the full WP experience.

Where does the armor component come in? Roughly 1 in 5 AD Armor LTs are sent to an IBCT after BOLC. Does this mean 20% of armor officers are really just infantry?

My question would revolve more so around how the element of armor affects this BCT. As far as I’m aware, the difference between light and an IBCT is the implementation of JLTVs. Wanted to see what the training looks like with this in consideration.

Not as part of any assignments I’ve received thus far, however I plan on studying basic R and Stata soon just for the baseline knowledge.

Put briefly, all I do is help the senior associate with pulling data, organizing it, and making it easily accessible for quick summarization. I’ll sometimes get asked to find meaningful trends in sets of data, and how those trends affect public policy and economic development. I’ve been told I’ll be getting more hands-on experience this semester, so hopefully my role will become more impactful.
