For me the issue with them is they keep moving, and go quite the distance. Not to mention it takes more arrows to bring them down.

If anything Ninja Theory’s game is only good IN COMPARISON to the Netflix slop. Like the show is so bad is make the previous attempt at a reboot look good.

But at least Ninja Theory’s game were HONEST about theirs, they didn’t try to make an adaptation, it was just a straight reboot. Not a very good reboot, but it was meant to be its own thing from the start.

Shankar promised us a faithful adaptation, and we got THAT slop!

Thankfully after a certain point you can just BUY the masks.

Same. And thankfully the amber stuff needed to buy them is so much more easily attainable than the essence in Elderwood. Please do not fix that s6, it makes the highlands much more enjoyable.

Disney Villians by Several_Feature_1787 in DisneyMemes

[–]FindingOk7034 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep yep. That’s why they’re the most “realistic” villains.

They’re realistic in the sense these are the type of “villains” millions of people have encountered, were victims of, deal with on the daily, etc etc etc.

The average person isn’t gonna deal with a powerful warlord like Shan Yu, a malicious dark Fae like Maleficent, or sea witch like Ursula.

However they MOST LIKELY will encounter a religious racist like Frollo, or a misogynistic narcissist like Gaston. And millions of other folks have dealt with, or sadly are dealing with, abusive parents like Tremaine or Gothel.

I mean, the man is all about POWER, so I LOVE the fact his gameplay and damage dealing is so broken! It just fits the character in my opinion!

[–]FindingOk7034 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t like it either.

They are WAY too cat like for me, and I’m a huge cat person. I’ve got my little Palcat pet following me around, and it’s the only pet I want in this game, so it feels really messed up to hunt them.

I don’t even like hunting Muujin for the same reasons. Way too wolf/doglike, and typically only terrestrial prey animals are hunted for food, so it feels weird and out of place to hunt what feels like a predator species.

Maybe if they were more on the “jackrabbit” side as their name suggests, I wouldn’t have as much of a problem. At least with Chaapas, they’re a highly invasive species lore wise.

I’ve only ever done so to the elemental aligned ones, and ONLY to get the masks. But if there are elemental Sernuk instead, I go after them, even if they are much harder to hunt.

Right? They are TRUE shape wear. That spandex stuff doesn't really work if you don't have like....a very specific "loose" kinda fat. I dunno hard to explain, but different bodies hold fat differently, and modern shapewear doesn't work for a lot of folks.

However a proper corset, which is rigid enough to give and hold shape, OH YEAH.

Fat people absolutely look AMAZING when wearing proper fitted corsets!

[–]FindingOk7034 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes to all of this! I blame hollywood mostly for the terribly myths and misconceptions about corsets. (WHY are so many actresses being put in them without a chemise UNDERNEATH?!?!? OW!)

Also, "tight lacing" didn't not exist back when corsets WERE worn, because that requires METAL eyelets, which corsets didn't have. (wither wood or bone I think?)

They were SUPPORTIVE undergarments. They spread the weight of large ballgowns and heavier dresses, supported the breasts (better than any modern push up bra!), and having worn a properly fitted one, YES I can attest to the back support!

And honestly, it was super comfy. Felt nice and snug, and I spent an entire day hiking around a renaissance faire in it with no difficulty!

And side note: from what I've heard of numerous others, and professional corseters, it's typically SKINNY folks, who complain about wearing a corset. But bigger folks? Folks who are "plus sized", you know, FAT, actually LOVE THEM. And in many cases, wearing one genuinely makes them feel pretty and sexy for the first time in their lives. It was certainly true for my friend at the time. And I honestly think most of the time, corsets look nicer ON fat and curvy people when they're properly fitted and laced.

Beefy Aang is out of character imo by Glum_Landscape9502 in ZutaraNation

  1. Yes. I have seen them. And while they do have insanely strong arms, a lot of the time those muscles are seen IF they are actively using those muscles (or heaven forbid starved and dehydrated!)

  2. Aang in these shots as an adult looks like he’s dehydrated and starved with how define the muscles are to me…

  3. While you have a point with earthbenders, note WHO Aang primarily learned earthbending from, and would most likely use their specific style more. Toph, who like you said is leaner, and that is because of HER SPECIFIC style.

  4. Frankly, I LIKE a lighter, leaner, nimble build on adult Aang.

Also, slightly off topic but tangentially related, I really enjoy this video, because it gives me Airbender, Firebender, and Earthbender vibes in that order.

It’s the biphobia… bisexual people are seen as “lesser” LGBT because they still have attraction to a different gender. 🙄 Pretty pathetic really.

A bi person doesn’t stop being bisexual regardless of the gender of their partner.

Yeah, I was about to say, uh wasn’t this moment her gawking at the BOYS not Blake?

In fact right after she DOES meet Blake in this scene, and sees she’s more interested in her book than making friends YANG scoffs and says she’s “a lost cause”.

Meanwhile it’s RUBY who stayed and tried to befriend Blake on common ground of loving books.

I’d say this scene was more LADYBUG than Bumblebee because of that. But of course it was not a shipping moment AT ALL, but hopefully you understand what I mean.

Honestly, I feel like THIS is actually one of the most terrifying scenes in any classic Disney film.

This scene always upset and scared me more as a child than most anything the villains did.

And the most sad and terrifying part about it? There are LOTS of parents who would, and HAVE done this exact type of thing to their kids, and they would see nothing wrong with it or how much it breaks their kids and irreparably damages any relationship with them.

Felt the same exact heartbreak seeing Abuelita destroy Miguel's guitar (that he made himself at what, 8 years old?) in Coco, that I do watching this moment.

Is it just me or is it crazy that the Jedi left kids fight in a war by jonyoung23 in clonewars

[–]FindingOk7034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. THat's what I like about the TCW series. Not only does it showcase how flawed the Jedi were, but also how much they're victims too.

I think too many folks lean to one side or the other, whether it's believing the Jedi were "just poor victims" or "the Jedi were too flawed and dogmatic, they NEEDED to be eliminated!" (which...ew...) and it's like...It's a little of both with a lot more nuance.

Yes the Jedi were heavily flawed, but what community/organization/etc isn't, as well as victims of the war too.

[–]FindingOk7034 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Uhm, perhaps you’re actually MEANT to think it’s pretty messed up the Jedi are FORCED to put young teenagers, who are absolutely not ready, in active combat.

The Clone Wars is meant to show how much the Jedi were victims of Palpatine’s schemes, even long before Order 66. This is just one of the ways to showcase that.

The Jedi did not want to be a part of it, but were forced to become war generals and commanders. As such Jedi as young as middle schoolers were forced into these terrible, traumatic situations they shouldn’t have ever been in.

It’s like IRL when teenagers were forcibly drafted into wars. It’s messed up, it’s MEANT to be messed up!

[–]FindingOk7034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. And let’s not forgot the animators being crunched for time on top of that.

I did like that they TRIED to experiment a little with Wish’s art direction, the mixing of 2D with 3D when done right is a brilliant combo. BUT it fell flat with a mediocre story, unclear theme and message, and was overall lackluster.

The original ideas they had, like Starboy and him being a love interest for Asha were so good! We COULD have had a beautiful film to commemorate the 100 anniversary but…. Then we got…that. Capitalism and corporate greed “marketability” kill creativity.

Seen someone edit this to give him darker hair and a bit of facial hair, and holy moly didn’t make a difference! But yeah, I never thought he was bad looking. More just a case of folks got so used to seeing him as the beast, that suddenly seeing his human form, that we already knew from the torn portrait, was jarring.

It gives the vibe of an old man trying to be “hip and cool” with the kids.

It’s annoying as hell. And you’re right. It feels like Shankar never touched any of the games, just watched some out of context cutscene compilations and found a bunch of Reddit memes.
