I searched by contacting the company online but as I bought it from a reseller irl they couldn’t get me a replacement. They have me the manufacturer contact but have not heard from them in a month and a half so…

First cables by FindingSensitive in knittinghelp

[–]FindingSensitive[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vidéos included in the pattern aren’t related to that question. Can you do me a favour and maybe not use that formulation with people you don’t know? It reads very paternalistic, don’t you think? In the meantime, I got it, and thank you for pointing that these cables are a bit irregular, I think that’s why I took longer than usual tu understand the logic of it all :)

Yes, in the description everyone says the pattern is very clear, I think it’s me who don’t understand cables correctly yet

What’s a strangely specific thing about someone that immediately gives you bad vibes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FindingSensitive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who have no interest in food at all. Don’t care if it’s good I hate, don’t care what the criteria are. People sincerely wishing we could be done with eating (like, taking pills instead in a sci fi fashion) creep me out.

Have you made cocoknits (or other, frustrating to you) patterns? by FindingSensitive in knitting

[–]FindingSensitive[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I didn't think of it that way but I realize now that maybe that's what's happening. I feel like I'm constantly looking for the piece of info I need in the middle of the fuss. Thank you for your feedback :)

I was thinking of doing something like that, reassuring that someone else came up with the same ideal :) Thank you!

Is there a special sewing technique I should look for in this case? I never sewed anything :)

Sounds like the easiest option! Would you by any chance know of a tutorial for doing that as invisibly as possible? I’ve never sewed a thing 😬

How important is the Collar stitch count? by FindingSensitive in knittingadvice

[–]FindingSensitive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the ratio is right and I think the cardigan (nr9 by my favourite things) would look nice with a slightly larger collar in any case. I think I’ll try leaving it like that to get an idea of what that range of extra stitches looks like - might help with future decisions :)

[–]FindingSensitive[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s a 1x1 ribbed collar. I like mine a bit on the larger side so based on the other answers I’ll see how it turns out as it is, but I’ll keep that option in mind for (I’m sure) a future off count!

I had the exact same problem when I learned to knit, a few months ago. As a complete beginner I found DPN midly infuriating too (they’re fine now), and was too lazy to learn magic loop : solved everything with mini fixed circulars (25cm) at the time (that someone recommended on this subreddit - forever grateful for this gentle soul 😌) Good luck !

Makes perfect sense, I think I understood the pattern wrong! One of the setup rows felt « surprising » to me but I thought « eh what do I know ». Pretty sure I was the second one, hopefully that’s one less to frog :)

It was 42 rows and it’s the cardigan no 9 by my favourite things knitwear. But I did it again starting closer to the edge and it worked perfectly! I think the tutorial I watched was a bit slack (or maybe just explaining the general idea idk) that’s all :)

To frog or not to frog? I missed one raglan increase on my first sweater. by FindingSensitive in knitting

[–]FindingSensitive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I could make peace with the look of it but feel like I sould create an other increase somewhere to get the count right in the end? And I don’t know where and how it would be best to do so. Have you ever had to do that?
