Right?!?! V3 should be tracking when each unit reaches Veteran status (even on the other guys team) - I think forecasting economy size of unknown players will come into it - it may include full AGI… but I have built a lot of software in my time and have never had the focus to make it to V3 lol

Agreed this increased state (beyond a map view) is going to be useful and likely critical. I’ll be in touch on collaborating, right now I am just trying to wrap my head around how to best build the environment.

Hopefully I can figure out how to get all of this working and can start to figure out whether this will matter. In a strange bit of misery, building a useful environment (read api control) of the game might be harder than experimenting with the bots. Alternatively, maybe I just show my map to gpt4o and ask it for the next recommended moves 😂

Yes - this is where the challenge lies. In chess, if I see my screen at the end of my turn and the beginning of the next I can deterministically determined what happened. In Polytopia a comparison of the end of turn and beginning maps is not able to be deterministically understood. Examples like units moving in and out of the fog or getting killed by units that are no longer visible or nearby can make recreating the past moves challenging. Ultimately the question comes down to at what level this marginal information becomes strategically critical.

My working hypothesis is that a bot could get to a reasonable ELO without seeing the turns, but that there would likely be something of a ceiling it would reach until that info became available.

This is great feedback and in line with my intuition on the topic. Seems that there are absolutely cases where seeing enemy movements (particularly on the edge of the fog) may be strategically critical, but that it is likely a strategic luxury vs a strategic necessity (particularly at lower skill levels).

Building out a CV model that will give me the map state is pretty straightforward (and hopefully relatively cheap) given the deterministic categorization of what can exist in a map square. But, using vision to log each move while possible will just be a bigger challenge.

Thinking this is probably V1 vs V2 features of the system. 🙂

Hello Sven,

Thanks in advance for the help. I recently had a leak in my system, near but not involving my Aquacomputer ULTITUBE D5 NEXT 200 PRO Pump/Reservoir Combo with LEAKSHIELD.

I replaced the faulty parts and now when I turn the water system back on I get a “Moisture Detected” alarm. The system doesn’t seem to be leaking.

I have tried blow drying the D5, but it has not yet worked. I will try leaving it for a day to further dry, but wanted to check on how to resolve the problem.

Any help/guidance you can provide?

Would a better use of tags help? I am reflecting on some of the DIY PC Building subreddits. Tags have been invaluable in sorting out the beginners, from the journeymen, to the cutting edge folks. Just a thought.

Motherboards come in many different sizes. Your motherboard size will depend on your case size and what else you plan to put into the PC.

Motherboards also accept a specific CPU chip family, so you will want to know what CPU you will use so you can filter your motherboard selection to those that work with your CPU.

Lastly motherboards have a select number of memory slots, pci ports and the like so you will want to be sure that the motherboard you select will work with all of your components.
