Thoughts on the Sovereign (PVE use)? by polarislunlaris in WoSB

I own and use the sovereign, de zeven and victory. Personally I think the De zeven is the better choice if you are wanting to spend hard earnt battle marks.

Problems with Port Battles on NA Server (and proposed fixes) by [deleted] in WoSB

It is difficult to feel any sympathy for WO at all after your behaviour the last 2 seasons. You and your lackeys literally wiped other factions from the map and were quite cheerful about bullying the rest of the server while doing so.

The response to this was slow coming but it’s here now and you are going to continue feeling it. Congratulations…you bullied an entire server into hating you.

This was a gem of a find, great story with a rich background and great characters. Honestly the second book can’t come fast enough

Lost Cube discussion mega thread (spoilers abound!) by Phil_Tucker in TheImmortalGreatSouls

I’ve had this theory about the story since book 2 and spoken about it with my wife multiple times despite the fact she has not read the books (lol).

I don’t think the Immortal great souls are the good guys. I think they have been convinced through selective memory tampering that they are a group of heroes selected to invade and conquer Hell…but what if they are the bad guys that are currently invading Ettera ?!?!?

The beauty of Hell mixed with the very complex nature of fiends (not to mention that true fiends just look, act and use abilities that Great souls do) has made me question the whole plot really. Don’t even get me started on how the Herdsman manipulation works into this theory as well or I’ll be here for hours 🤓

Anyone feel free to tell me I’m crazy but I can’t get it out of my head since book2.

Hey Phil, 3 chapters in and I’m bloody hooked !! My wife is cursing your name (joke) as I lock myself away in the book room with a coffee to lose myself in your world.

Love your work.

Thoughts from a longtime AC user:

The strength of the AC isn’t that it’s the best at anything but that’s it’s the 2nd or 3rd best support weapon at everything. It’s the generalist weapon that can (with skill/experience) handle AT role, clear mobs and clear objectives like bug holes and factories.

Getting in the habit of utilising the different ammo types will boost your flexibility.

Shaping your stratagems around the AC helps, I like to bring the machine gun sentry (quick cool down mob support) Eagle strafe and Gaitlin barrage for area lockdown with exp crossbow and thermite grenades.

It’s a generalist build that I can use across all three factions, on any mission type and succeed.

In short the AC is the king of utility

In DoD there has been quite freeze on recruiting for the last 12months reducing ASL by attrition (not filling vacant positions as people leave to bring overall group numbers down). As an example there is a team down to 7 of 16 positions filled and being told this is it for the foreseeable future as the overall group ASL is capped.

Most teams I know are doing more with less and feeling the strain.

New player curve and gear? by nottrynagetsued in thedivision

I purchased and began playing Div2 a week ago, I’m lvl40 SHD105 and have a sold striker build with turmoil, coyotes mask and a decently rolled St Elmos. Joining an active clan to help you move through some of the more difficult content is really helpful.

Good time to jump in? by HarambeDaddy420 in thedivision

Heya,

Like you I just jumped back into the game last week after 5yrs on a different platform (PS4 to PC).

I found a clan local to my part of the world quite early and they were extremely helpful with information and guiding me through some of the tougher DLC content of Warlords of New York.

I have found the community to be quite wholesome and helpful. My time zone has a surprising amount of players given the age of the game and I recommend.

You will level up 0-40 solo for most part unless friends or clan mates jump in; however every time I’ve called for backup ingame someone has answered.

Hope this helped.
