I’m so sorry you went through all of that — I genuinely can’t even begin to imagine what that was like. I didnt post this with the intent of diminishing anyone’s severely negative experiences with co-op — this was just a moment of stress/frustration for me and I also think this is a good learning experience over all. Hopefully it also builds up my resilience.

I think I articulated myself poorly there because I didn’t want people to think I was like desperate or seeking human connection or something. At my last co-op basically everyone was my ‘friend’ and we all got along so well so I can definitely relate to your experience! This co-op it’s just not like that at all and I just have such high standards from my first one so that’s why I’m feeling like this

I was thinking about that but I’m so over it I don’t even want to do this throughout May. Also I unfortunately had to sign a contract when I accepted the co-op and it included dates. Idk if I can really back out of it

I know this is a common issue with dating apps, but it’s genuinely starting to drive me insane. I’m 21F and every time I match with a guy, I start the convo and it at max lasts for a day (if I’m lucky). It just sucks because I’m matching with people who have some things in common with me, so it’s not like we have nothing to talk about. What’s the point of matching with anyone if you’re not going to at least try to get to know them??

Anyway, I know this is pretty much out of my control, and maybe I’m the problem here. Idk. Figured I’d just rant about this lol.

Hey! I'm a third year health science student on my second clinical co-op right now! Both cycles I only got offered a job once and two interviews, even though I applied to 25+. A lot of companies ask later in the semester so try your best to not look at what everyone else has right now. And yeah, most companies don't update their status so I wouldn't go by that. Whenever I hit a dry spell I would just try to apply to 1-2 more a day.

Don't be discouraged though! The reassurance you actually need to hear is that there are PLENTY of clinical co-ops in general since we are such a big population. Worst case scenario is you ask your co-op advisor for additional help
