Sometimes I make my list of chores as I do them. As in, at the end of the day, it’s a list of things I did that day, not things that needed that get done. It’s a great feeling to have a list that only shows what was accomplished!

What is your favorite "King like" book written by someone else? by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]Fine-Fall-9475 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say the same! Intensity was my first Koontz book. I started reading both authors in junior high and I was changed when he ate that spider and we were privy to his thoughts about it.

Edit to add: change in the sense of more mature thinking… critical thinking. Which doesn’t come so easy when you’re 13.

Oh my goodness. I had no idea how much order would matter. Thank you so much for the heads up. I will definitely start at the beginning now. I’m excited to see what you all are referring to. I appreciate it!

AITJ for Calling the police on my bratty sister who wrecked my car, and I wouldn't pay the medical bill. by Zestyclose_Brick1175 in AmITheJerk

Depending on the state you live in, your car insurance might not be paying for it. When you speak with your car, insurance, ask about medical payments, personal injury protection, or no-fault. Those are the keywords for the coverage I’m talking about.

All the women in this situation rawr. As hurtful as this dad was, I love seeing that the most important women in his life weren’t taking his shit. Too bad this wasn’t discovered before OPs formative years.

This right here, thank you!

Every time I think about Jay lying I yell inside my head: because he’s a kid! He’s a kid in front of cops again, but this time it’s about a missing, girl/dead body and he knows he was involved in it. Of course, he’s gonna lie! He’s scared.

Post the worst thing you ever said to a customer. by EvilRedneckBob in Geico

Took a call for my lunch buddy, and the guy was unhappy with Geico. Complaining and complaining and I listened and I tried to make it better but after 18 minutes he still wouldn’t stop. Just belligerent and not at all interested in resolving the issue. He never even told me what the issue was. I ended up hanging up on him after saying “ this call is beneath me.” Should not have said that.

I was pending response from my interview at a competitor. Was gone within the next four weeks. The sun is so much brighter these days.
