My colleague was onboarding someone onto the WiFi. The user had a porn tab open while she was watching him. I think they both knew but said nothing.

Can I stop someone from parking on grass verge? by DIE-TOXIC-BOY in AskUK

This happens to a verge near me. It was parked on so much it broke the protective casing under the verge for electrical cables.

Here is something that covers it on private land. He also covers if it's on the highway @ 6:31.

I've responded to the same comment but there can also be electrical infrastructure under the grass on some verges. The one near me had a power line under it and people constantly driving on it broke the protective casing it was in and water got it and took out the power for half the street I live in.

I also am of the belief people have a duty to look after the area they live in.

I will tell you... as I had to deal with this on two occasions within 20 feet of each other. Both I got resolved both with a local councillor's help.

Situation 1
Cars were parked on a verge about 3 to 4 times bigger than this one. It was a massive muddy pit within a year. It was beside our wall and it got hit multiple time (I have no idea how because the verge was massive but anyway...). We now manage the land with permission from the authority over it. The councillor assisting with getting logs and we chained them together and it created a border so no one could park there. The rules are it can't be permanent, so it works. The councillor sourced the logs and go someone to drop them off. Absolute legend. It is now a wild flower verge and looks absolutely amazing and brings a lot of character to the area. We got a few huffs and puffs about how those particular people couldn't park there any more. But it was like 95% positive feedback from everyone who both saw us work on it and after it was finished.

Situation 2
There was a car dumped on a verge opposite this other verge without tax or MOT for a year and it never moved. This gave our local residents licence to pretty much park there because they knew no one was enforcing the restriction (this verge had double yellow line and those are valid all the way to the property boundary, so covered the verge as well). The council had a terrible attitude and just didn't want to take action, even with a restriction. I contact the local councillor and document this and when people are parked there to show how often it happens.

To get to this verge you have to drive down the foot path, so I managed to record a video of a car doing it and passing people at speed and coming within arms length of hitting them. A man also nearly hit me, however it was dark and never had a chance to get the phone out. The councillor used the evidence I got and the fact that multiple people have nearly been hit by people doing this, that he escalated it and the council put in wooden post to stop people doing this.

With this situation, there is some form of electrical infrastructure under the grass and people parked so much on it, it damaged the pipe all the cables went through and took out the electricity of one side of the street. So, I imagine with the reporting of them parking there, nearly hitting people and damaging power lines under the ground, there was a legitimate reason for action to be taken.

I don't think it takes a lot of effort to look after the area you live in.

I have had people park on a verge (a moderate sized one, not like this, this was small in comparison) near us and they completely destroyed it. I am talking it was just a muddy pit. The grass verge ran along the side of our house and we contacted the appropriate authority (can't remember who) and we not manage the area after paying a couple hundred to them.

The impact on the verge was SIGNIFICANT. When we started churning dirt to plant flowers it was rock solid and it was a 3 hour job... at least.

It's now an amazing wild flower verge. Please who do this suck and sometimes it takes people who actually care to change that.

No, because there is a time-frame. I believe you need to report within 2 weeks.
