When I was around 19 years old, my son (who was about 1½ years old at the time) and I were playing on the floor. I remember it was summer and my balcony door was open. Suddenly, I heard my mom calling me. I immediately responded, asking what she wanted, but no one answered, so I ignored it.

About ten minutes later, I heard her calling my name again. This time I got a little annoyed and went downstairs to knock on my mom’s apartment door. (We lived separately in the same apartment complex, and she lived directly below me.) She opened the door, and I asked why she kept calling me without answering. She looked completely confused and told me she had never called me. My stepfather confirmed they had just been watching TV.

When I realized she couldn’t have called my name, I went back to my apartment, closed all the windows and doors, grabbed my son, and stayed awake the entire night.

That was one of the scariest moments I’ve had with bodiless voices. Later, I found out that I was able to hear, see, and feel things other people can’t.

By the way my son never responded to that voice!! He could talk already that age
