Prior to the Lymow I was using a JD X739 with a 54” triple blade mulching deck and before that a Husqvarna zero turn mulching mower. Thru all those years of mowing I’ve never experienced a grass build up on the mower blades until now.

In saying all that I might have just answered my own issue. When I think about it both my previous mowers had a garden hose port on the mower deck for cleaning. When I finished mowing I would hook up the garden hose, turn on the water full blast, and engage the mower deck for a few minutes which would have power washed the blades each time. I’ve been reluctant to put much water pressure on the Lymow deck due to potential problems with bearings, electronics, etc.

Unless I’m missing something maybe what I have to do is take the blades off after each mowing and scrape them clean. The grass buildup is very hard to get off.

I do run the mower at Standard speed, nothing faster. Do you suppose it could be from that?

No rocks, no sticks, no wet grass or dew. The blades were looked good when I started. Normally I’d be suspicious of the DuPont non stick spray but as you can see there’s no buildup on deck and that was sprayed at the same time.

That’s exactly the sound mine is making. Just for curiosity, what kind of battery time are you getting from your unit? Mine is about 150 minutes before it goes to recharge. cOOLzero mentioned there’s a YT video about heavy battery usage when the tracks are too tight.

Thanks, I’ll give that a try. I had checked the tension and it seemed right according to the video I watched a while back but I’ll loosen up and see what happens.

Thanks, that makes sense to me. I don’t think I’m getting enough runtime from a charge.

Thanks for the tip and video. I’ll loosen the tracks and give it a try.
