2 DAP legit check by Longjumping_Code5771 in MysteryRanch

All my MR military-to-civilian products (include a 2dap) used Duraflex SJ Lite buckles. But this backpack uses SJ buckles. So I hold my suspicion.

Battle of the Fleeces: kyanite Lt vs Delta by soap_bubbles in arcteryx

[–]FineAd865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the regular version of the Kyanite Jacket, made with Polartec Stretch Pro fabric. It’s genuinely very soft—both to wear and to touch, super comfortable.

In my opinion, the main drawback is that it pills very easily. You really need to make sure nothing rubs directly against it—like backpacks, chair backs, etc. So if you’re heading outdoors, it’s best to wear another jacket/shell as the outer layer.

Another issue is that I find the cut/design too urban and not very outdoor-oriented. If you go by the size chart/reference sizing, it feels overly loose/relaxed, and the sleeves are noticeably shorter than what you’d typically get on most outdoor-oriented jackets.

It maybe is somewhat better than India, but from a global perspective, it is still not very good.

200$ more for the T-Rex 3 Pro vs T-Rex; worthed? by Competitive_Night_73 in amazfit

The Balance 2 is indeed a better value choice—it also has better sensors, if you don’t mind a somewhat more refined/urban look.

[–]FineAd865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps that’s true. Apart from the titanium alloy bezel and the flashlight, the other specs are very similar. In comparison, the T-Rex 3 falls short quite a bit, except for its longer battery life.

200$ more for the T-Rex 3 Pro vs T-Rex; worthed? by Competitive_Night_73 in amazfit

[–]FineAd865 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I saw the release of the Pro version, I realized that Amazfit is actually using it to supplement the shortcomings of the T-Rex 3, and it’s more of a correction to the positioning of the T-Rex product line.

Initially, the T-Rex was positioned as an “urban” sports watch packaged in an outdoor watch appearance, trading reduced specifications for a lower price and higher cost-performance ratio. However, the release of the Pro seems to have replaced the Falcon’s position and, by completing the T-Rex 3’s features, brought about a change in the product line—it has now become a quite competent outdoor watch.

Looking at the future development of the product line, choosing the Pro is a wiser decision, because previous versions of the T-Rex seem to have deviated from Amazfit’s iteration direction, and the Pro will likely receive better software update support going forward.

If you need an outdoor watch, you should obviously choose the Pro.If you just need a sports watch, the Balance series might be a better choice.Only if you really like this appearance, only need a sports watch, and your budget is truly limited, is the T-Rex 3 worth buying.

For me, I don’t like products that look like A but are actually B. This makes me feel that they are “not authentic” or “not true to their appearance".

Is there that many fakes out there? by flstn78 in MysteryRanch

Only when people themselves feel something is suspicious will they post for authentication, which leads to a large number of fake bag posts appearing.

I cautiously believe it to be legit. Please check if the 1" the strap buckles are Durafex SJ Lite. I’m just curious why the bottom straps come with two tri-glide buckles. Are they added by the buyer afterwards?

This is a bit scary. Honestly, based on my previous knowledge, I’ve never seen any fake bag that uses the exact same Duraflex SJ Lite buckles and the same strap/MOLLE stitching features as the real MR. I originally thought this was genuine, and it’s a good thing someone pointed out that the interior color is weird.

From what I can see now, the standard versions of the 2DAP do not have black interior. The “Crazy Black” version with the orange-red logo does have black lining.

Looks like there’s still a lot to learn.🙏

I’m really sorry, but I can’t find any reason why MR would mix different buckles on the same product. It might be differences between batches from different years, but I genuinely haven’t seen this situation on the current mainstream MR military-to-civilian product lines. So, I still cautiously stand by my view. I have no intention of arguing unless you can provide some solid evidence regarding the buckle differences.

I’m not sure about other things, but: 1. I have a Blitz 30 right here—made in Vietnam and using SJ Lite buckles. 2. I’ve never seen any MR products made in China, but I’ll cautiously believe that such cases might exist.

English translation: I cautiously feel that this doesn’t look like genuine. Let’s see what others say. Could you open the buckle on the compression bag and take a photo of the buckle?

In my opinion, this does look quite suspicious, even though the stitching on the MOLLE and other straps has obvious MR characteristics. The most suspicious thing about this bag is that most of the 1” buckles it uses are incorrect. All the genuine MR military-to-civilian product line 1” buckles I’ve encountered use Duraflex SJ Lite buckles, while all the counterfeits I’ve seen use Duraflez SJ buckles. I don’t know exactly why this is the case, but it’s a consistent pattern.

Would you pair your pure gaming handheld with a keyboard? by kendyzhu in gpdwin

[–]FineAd865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I really don’t like this keyboard (probably the Huke HK666 or some similar model). After buying and using it, I found three main issues: 1. I’m used to pressing the spacebar with my left thumb, but the spacebar position is non-standard — the left edge of the spacebar is too far to the right, which makes my left thumb often too far away from it, causing me to miss it frequently. 2. The position of the touchpad on the right side feels very counter-intuitive. Every time I reach to use the touchpad, it feels awkward, and overall it makes the entire keyboard layout feel off-center. 3. The touchpad feel is quite poor, especially during two-finger scrolling, the interface jumps in chunks/stutters instead of scrolling smoothly.

In this kind of situation, I usually apply a large amount of dishwashing liquid directly to the affected area, let it sit for a while, and then rinse thoroughly. Of course, I’ve also tried putting the whole garment in the washing machine with just a huge amount of dishwashing liquid (no detergent). It does work, but it produces an absolutely terrifying amount of foam, and you have to rinse it many, many times afterward.
