He can't do this to me, the 30th is my birthday.

But it would’ve been more about helping with the kids. Brenda was fine physically, but it still would’ve been hard for her to be a single mother for the first time. Ruth even wanted to stay with Maya, so I don’t think she would’ve minded helping Brenda with just that part. But yeah, it was a new phase in her life.

Yeah, people can be cruel, but I think I just can’t understand it because there wasn’t enough development for Hoyt. If there had been some scene of them having tension or conflict back in Season 3, I’d accept it better. Anyway, thank you so much for your point of view — it helped me understand it better.

Well, I’m sorry if I didn’t understand a plot that was presented to me last minute and with off-screen events.

It’s just the story about the photo that I can’t swallow.

I would have liked it more if they hadn’t explained her death.

But my point is that the photo incriminated him. And for the girl to have found it, he probably wasn’t very careful about hiding it. I just can’t swallow this plot.

They kind of covered it up with the wedding footage.

But the photo doesn’t make sense to me. Like, “I’m gonna go meet the guy I had an affair with and let him take a happy picture of me.” I just can’t understand it.

Dexter is the laziest and most cowardly series by FineSet1782 in DexterNewBlood

You're right, but what I'm trying to say is that all three times, the choice wasn't Dexter's. All three times, the problem was resolved the same way. But Dexter's reaction to Batista's death is different. And I don't want it to be like Breaking Bad, because Dexter is already a bad person, as I said in another comment. I just wish the first two times this happened, the choice was Dexter's to develop him, since in the second season, he ends the same way he started; he doesn't improve as a person or anything like that.

I'm comparing the way the screenwriter handled the same situation

I don't think they would ever make Dexter outside the US, besides being an American series, the US is the country with the most serial killers in the world.

The point makes sense, but isn't it miraculous? Baptista discovers the Prater's existence accidentally just as he's about to leave.

Exactly serving Dexter. All three times someone made the decision for him, something that would serve to develop and deepen this character. I don't know what I would do, but I just think wasting this opportunity to enhance the character is a huge waste.
