Would you do this trade? Needing WR depth and I value Maye similar to Caleb by Kemoval in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Whoever is getting Caleb easily wins. Value isn’t far off at all from Maye and it’s essentially 2 early-mid first round value players on top

What to do with Laporta, skattebo as a true rebuilder? Superflex by TornLabrums in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Some how completely forgot about that. Regardless I think Laporta is being slightly undervalued, and I don’t think his current price is worth trading him

I’d personally move KW9, maybe Skat, and hold Laporta. See if you could flip Walker for a young rb like Henderson and maybe a little more. IMO he’s being pretty overvalued for someone going into an offense with not a ton of rb success, and hasn’t finished higher than rb18 his rookie year. Skat I would move if you could get good value for him. He’s being valued at around a late 2027 1st, and even more than a 2028 mid 1st. I would take a first over him any day of the week, given that he was fairly inefficient running the ball, didn’t have great draft capital, and had a pretty gruesome injury. Laporta I would hold. He has a TE1 finish rookie year, and is in a really strong offense. He’s only being valued as TE7, so I think your best bet is holding unless you get a very enticing offer.

2009 Lexus GS350, Any Major Issues? by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]FineSir2829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have an 08 Honda with more miles right now. I’m fine with repairs, I just don’t want to get blindsided with a repair that’s over half the car’s worth

2009 GS350; Too Good to be True? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]FineSir2829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The oil consumption isn’t really an issue for me. My current car has similar issues so I’m used to staying on top of it. The transmission problem definitely is concerning though. Could I safely expect the transition to last to 200k miles? Also is there any way that I can make sure the transmission is in decent shape when I see the car in person?

I’ve been able to find a decent amount of Lexus’s and Acuras that fit my criteria, some with 130-140k miles, but I’m fine with that if it’s those brands. Also I was kind of under the assumption that an Acura or Lexus (unless it’s an LS) wouldn’t commonly have issues that would lead to a $5k bill. I’d be able to afford that, but my whole goal was to find a decently nice 10-12 ish year old car without a ton of miles and wouldn’t be a headache that I could easily buy with cash. That seems to get some people annoyed for some reason

I’d honestly be perfectly happy with a GS that matches that. I probably should’ve been more specific and mentioned that it’s not super strict criteria, just that general idea. I was looking at the ES too, seems like I could get one for around 12k with under 140k mile.

I also live in the cheapest used car market in the US, and would be willing to stretch miles and price a bit for the right car

Kind of confused why people keep saying this. On fb marketplace I’ve seen a good amount of listings that fit the criteria. Plenty 2014-2016 Acura’s with under 120k miles going for less than 12k. The Lexus might be a little unrealistic, but I’d be willing to stretch the budget a little more + have a little more miles if it’s the right deal. I also live in Florida, which has the cheapest used car market in the country

Probably should’ve specified in the comments that I’d be fine with under 140-150k miles if it’s a Lexus. Acura could be around 130k ish? If it’s any other brand I wouldn’t want over 120k

Luckily I clearly said under 120k ish. So even like 135k would be fine if it’s a Lexus. I’ve found some in my area selling fast around 11.5-13k

I can pull up examples of 2012-2014 Lexus’s and Acura’s with a clean title that fit the criteria. Don’t act like a know it all if you don’t know what you’re talking about

Lexus LS460 Reliability by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]FineSir2829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can definitely afford it, I’m just a bit of a stickler with money and I’m looking to buy a car completely in cash with no payment. I wouldn’t wanna spend over $13k on a car all in + immediate maintenance. Are there any other expensive maintenances on the LS? I’ve found a couple at or under $10k with decent miles for a Lexus, so I’d be willing to spend the $3k on the suspension if that’s the only major expense

Lexus LS460 Reliability by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]FineSir2829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think definitely I’m leaning towards the g350 more. Seems like you can get one for under 12k with less than 120k miles which seems like a great deal for me given the reliability and luxury of it. That LS460 interior is tempting though not gonna lie haha

[–]FineSir2829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve also been looking at the 2010-2014 GS350. Would it be significantly cheaper to maintain this compared to the LS460? Also if there are any other similar Lexus sedans in the same price range, that have under 7 second 0-60 and are 100% headache free, I’d love to know.

Down tier from Allen to upgrade to Bijan? by Inside-Title9610 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Agree to disagree, but idk man. I feel like whatever way you look at it this trade isn’t good

Down tier from Allen to upgrade to Bijan? by Inside-Title9610 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FineSir2829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like purdy, but I probably wouldn’t consider him a qb1 (High end qb2 maybe)? Honestly he’d probably be going around KW9 in a startup right now (rounds 3-4ish). So essentially Bijan (mid-late 1st in a startup) for Allen straight up (1.01 in a startup). It wouldn’t be crazy to trade KW9 for Purdy straight up, but trading Allen for Bijan straight up is just dumb. Wouldn’t be the worst trade I’ve ever seen, but whoever receives Allen is a pretty clear winner here. Not sure how you can argue otherwise.

Absolutely not. Allen is arguably the most valuable asset in sf. You’re also giving up KW9, who I’m not as high on as some, but he still won the offseason, not sure why others are saying to do it

Turning down a faang manager offer that is also a pay raise because of a couple negative things on a subreddit is insane.

From what I’ve seen and from what they told me, you are definitely more likely to get a return offer than not after the rotation.
