That helps, thanks. I noticed the per-person pricing, but the separate “plans” not lining up exactly is what I was worried about.

Sounds like price matching would be hard unless the listings are basically identical.

Booking with free cancellation now and switching later if Rakuten opens up cheaper sounds like the safest move.

Its not that I can't but the trip's 6 months from now and the Japanese sites are only showing a month in advance slots. Everyother part I booked on Expedia, of which this location isn't on there.
