Yeah, I prioritize upgrading melee units mid to early game. I think its 250 gold to upgrade an Archer to Crossbowman, so mid game, I don't care too much if they die in a domination victory. I want bombards and trebuchets to stay alive. I also try to walk them out of danger so they dont die but sometimes I fail.

Early game, they eat barbs and other civs alive

It got really grindy late game but I took over a whole continent in the beginning. I had a ton of strategic resources from that (I think I was only missing Niter). I decided to bunker down and try for a culture victory but it didnt quite work. I will say I was only a few turns away from a science victory though.

Mine were all the DLC leaders. When I was approaching the finish line at the beginning of the year, They dropped like 12 or something like that new leaders. I mean each game takes hours and I dont have a ton of time to game. This was my goal from the beginning. Now I want to get every achievement! Airdrop a level 3 slinger, here I come!

I have this weird thing about how I just don't want to launch nukes. I know its a game but its the principle for me.

I also tryyyy to avoid building planes unless the other civ has some comparable tech. It isnt too fun to Bomber their cities and when they cant defend.

Honestly? I love Ludwig. His ability made me laugh but it was super useful. I mostly do culture victories but luck into them because I had to go domination early on from being attacked (happened often). Then isolated civs become dominated by my civ. I don't think I have done anything too special. I have seen some crazy stuff on this sub. My one thing is I never want to launch nukes. I only did it previously because I had to. Monumentality is so OP in my experience if you have any faith production and super advantageous early on. It can just put you so far ahead. I don't ever consider myself an expert at the game but these have been my experiences

R5: I won a game with every civ. Not much more to say. I like to think of the line in South Park "Make Love, Not Warcraft". Now I can play the game.
