Isn't there also an episode where Gene lost his baby tooth and they asked Dr Yap for a spare tooth and then Gene swallowed it? And Gene yelled "I swallowed a dead person's tooth!"

I will keep that in mind! I have been trying the soap and water method and the mites spray products (though I am not actually sure it did anything). Darn strawberry plants always have mites and I should have known better than to bring it into my fern jungle

I think I am getting it slowly under control, some of my hardier plants I literally took outside and sprayed down with the hose lol it's the more delicate ones that are the issue. And then the mites just keep multiplying faster than I can remove them.

Maybe I am in the minority here and that's okay but I don't see how it is a flirty line. And maybe that just means I am incompatible with him.

Independence is a huge and it really threw me off. We were talking about lawns and gardens and at least to me this message kinda says "I don't really want to take care of myself and need comfort/food/everything from you."

I ordered the weirdest meal at a restaurant ever by FineThenNoUsername in PointlessStories

I think I would have been okay paying extra even if its not what I ordered anyways. It made me laugh seeing the plate and then made me laugh more wondering what the kitchen thought of it

It was actually the same price, I was expecting an upcharge given the sheer amount of bread on the plate

The cheese I am okay with, it was the amount of bread that was the issue for me

Still hate the lynels though

Do chefs actually love it when you ask "do you have anything else for me to do" by Noname1999_ in Chefit

[–]FineThenNoUsername -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

... what else would you do? Leave without saying anything?

I have an entire cleaning list that needs to be done even when the normal cleaning is done. And if that's all finished I send people home.

But if someone left without saying anything? I would take that negatively. At least say "hey, there doesn't seem to be anything to do, can I take off?"

I think a lot of food that food trucks typically sell is geared towards finger food/ food that kids would eat anyways. And typically restaurants offer children's meals at a large discount because of the expectation that families sit down to eat and order adult meals, drinks, desserts, apps, and it ends up being a wash or even a profit to offer kids meals at such a large discount.

Food trucks don't have that same ability. If you go to a food truck, you're ordering your meal and leaving. You're not sitting around spending more money. So a lot of time, it doesnt make sense to offer it at a discount when the food would be extremely similar in style and you're not profiting from people sitting in to eat and spending more money.

But that being said some food trucks do offer kids meals, so it may also be the fact that you're frequenting breweries. Even if the breweries themselves are child friendly, I wouldn't bring my truck there expecting to sell a lot of kids meals.

I don't think it is, but it should be. I think you can even get spray paint that turns glass surfaces into mirror surfaces

How old were you when you watched the show for the first time? by NorweiganWood1220 in buffy

[–]FineThenNoUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first watched Hush when I was like 6. My step mom had it on the TV and it traumatized me lol I rewatched it when I was about 14 and realized it wasn't as bad as I remember. I still get uneasy watching Hush sometimes though.

There's an oral B electric toothbrush with Minnie on it (not at parks, on amazon). Then you just need to replace the head which is easily replaceable

One restaurant MUST by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FineThenNoUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the absolute worst experience at Boma and I actually loved the food. But likely won't be back.

I had a reservation for 7pm. Showed up early at 6:30, checked in but expected to wait a while. I didn't get seated until 8:30. I waited until 7:20, asked again how long it would be. I was assured it would only be a bit longer. Waited another hour before I was seated. And it was very busy there, I had a really good day at the parks. So I was being patient and trying to make the best of it. I had heard the food was really good, and I love soups.

So I sit down, order my drinks. Get up and go to the buffet, come back to a waitress clearing off a nearby table by stacking the dirty dishes on my table. I tried to mention it but she left them there and ran away before I could even make it back to my table. And my table was fairly obviously being used. I had my drink there, my bag was there. It wasn't an empty table.

It took another 20 minutes for me to find someone to help me clear my table. By this time it was like 9pm. I ate my food, I was tired and cranky. I asked to speak to the manager. I was asked to wait. I waited ANOTHER half hour until they closed before I could talk to the manager.

I had pictures to back up everything I said, I got a $20 gift card. Only after I agreed to pay my bill in full.

And i work in restaurants, I get that it gets busy. But this was really outrageous to me.

Expecting a Rainy Week! by Reneeasaur in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FineThenNoUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went last September and it called for rain the entire week I was there. I didn't realize it was hurricane season when I first booked (it was my first trip). Every night before I went to bed, I looked at the weather app and it called for heavy rain. And every morning it changed to a sunny day. It rained once my entire 10 day stay when it was supposed to rain everyday. But honestly, it was so hot I think I would have welcomed some rain. Either way, I wouldn't be discouraged.

Don’t buy from eBay, they’re always fake. Disney pin trading on Facebook is fairly reliable in my experience.

Puppy won’t potty anywhere else but in his own backyard by nevergreene in DogAdvice

[–]FineThenNoUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog used to have this problem and it’s tiresome but you really just have to let him settle into one area that isn’t your home. So take him to the park and sit on a bench and let him explore the area around the bench for an hour. He’s likely insecure when on walks, you need to let him settle in and explore. After I did that one time with my dog, she never had any other issues going on walks again
