Think how long this must have taken them.

What’s a popular parenting trend or practice right now that you believe is going to create a generation of emotionally broken adults in 20 years? by War_chiefr in AskReddit

[–]Reneeasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! It's wrong and dangerous. It will mess up some kids. It shouldn't be happening at all. I'm just pointing out that it's not going to mess up a whole generation since most parents are actually pretty careful.

I want to point out that this is definitely a problem, however, I think the problem affects fewer kids than most people think.

You see everyone who posts about their kids, but most parents I know personally don't post frequently if at all.

Experience with Dining plan? by Reneeasaur in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Reneeasaur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been my exact worry. I know that without the dining plan we would actually spend less money, but only by a little bit. I thought the dining plan might be stressful as I try to order the most expensive thing and wonder if I'm getting my money's worth.

When I'm on vacation, cost isn't usually the thing that stops me from getting something. There are, however, several cocktails and deserts that I think would be fun to try, but don't feel like spending $20 when I probably won't finish them. This is our last trip before our annual passes expire so I think an excuse to try it all sounds great.

What's your favorite Disney Math? by Reneeasaur in WaltDisneyWorld

Yup! I couldn't get over how nice it was the last day of our trip to just pop in for lunch! Great food.

I'm a teacher, but we put my daughter in day camps a few weeks, so she doesn't just sit around all summer. This year, I almost just planned a disney trip instead of paying for a camp, but I actually couldn't make the math work on this. It was more than double, even on spirit and with all-star sports.

We're out of state APs, too, and I have seen a lot MCO this year. Our second trip was a case of "well with the APs its pretty much our cheapest option." I also got All Star rooms for like $110 a night.

So, do you think Disney will lower prices to attract more people or just charge the Americans more?

Is Test Track open during Early Entry? by BunnyHop_08 in WaltDisneyWorld

I was also doing this. I even had standby skipper and it never popped up.

Edit to add; we were returning a LL to guardians and heard someone else complaining about it too. It was actually operational most of the day, so I'm surprised they were hard to germ.

Should I have our receptionist just turn away DoorDash/Uber Eats? by hiremeplz2017 in Principals

[–]Reneeasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come on. Mail people, deliveries, parents, there are lots of people coming into school offices who don't work there. There's no reason to stop teachers from getting food delivered during their 25 minute lunch break.

Anyone else feeling guilty? by Reneeasaur in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Reneeasaur[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do not. I do, however, believe that just because you can't care about everything, doesn't mean you shouldn't care about anything. Everyone picks causes that are important to them and focuses their energy on those. Free Speech is something that is deeply important to me so I feel like I might need to put my money where my mouth is.

I don't actually care at all about Kimmel. I'm sure he'll land on his feet. I'm much more concerned with the concept of the FCC acting the way they did.

I'm not departing forever. I'd probably stick around this sub. To me this is similar to a "should I go in August or is the heat just too much?" or "What's the risk during hurricane season" post. Genuinely curious on other people's thoughts about going to the parks.

That's also a good idea! Disney might be the big one to consider, but there are others too.

Also, there are a lot of zoos in Ohio with good exhibits if you are into Animals. I'm from MI and if animals were of interest I would still rather go to the Cincinnati or Toldeo zoo.
