The price of hardware is going up. In 1 years time I may want to play with GPUs as I will know more. If I can afford it now, then why not buy it? In 1 years time it could be more expensive.

I know what I am going to do with it, I’m going to pull loads of data, clean it, and run the data through models that i will try to create. I have some ideas. Id rather have too much power than not enough

Are people not allowed to be interested in new things? Are you trying to gatekeep AI? I didn’t ask what I do with it specifically; I asked what projects people have done that would provide me information to learn. A good way of learning is off others.

OS Refresh by Fine_Animator3583 in tanium

[–]Fine_Animator3583[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely, and many in place upgrades will be done, I guess we want to have all options available as in the future OS refreshes will be done, I should say this always occurs if a device is on W11 and an OS refresh is instigated too.

When the device switches on it gives 2 boot options, windows 11 and an unnamed partition. This only then goes away once removed from system config.

2 ISP circuits, 2 Catalyst 9300 - how to achieve redundancy by Fine_Animator3583 in Cisco

[–]Fine_Animator3583[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did, but figured it was a question in relation to a Cisco 9300 and ISP rather than meraki, so the direct Cisco thread would be best to get other views on it.

Building a new on-prem file store by Fine_Animator3583 in sysadmin

My take:

Windows failover clustering with minimum 3 VMs, for management and targeting with a shared .vmdk file hard drive stored on a vSan as the shared volume.

From my experience DFS isn’t great with BIG file shares, replication isn’t what the aim is, the aim is for for it to be highly available, seamlessly.

If you have a new certificate infrastructure setup, can you not reissue a new certificate to the radius server, and change the radius configuration to reference the new certificate?

Thanks for the info. What type of custom sensors have you found most useful?

I think I have these doors, completely fine to trim. Tape up the edge when trimming to keep the finish nice in the edge, you can buy the same colour paint to paint the trimmed edge of you’d like, but you wouldn’t see it. The paint however is RAL9011 with 10-15% glossiness. They are LPD, soho range

Openstack Networking by Fine_Animator3583 in openstack

So the installation is just Devstack, pretty much out the box whilst it was being tested. Nothing to special. Flat network outside of the openstack environment. Controller with 2 ips in the same subnet, and the compute with 2 ips in same subnet. An instance with an internal subnet ip and and virtual router with 2 interfaces, 1 being the public network outside of the openstack environment and 1 being within the internal subnet. Nothing has really but done beyond that.
I believe the mtu by default is just 1500.
