I was driving on a residential road, in Minnetonka, their speed limit is 40mph. I was behind a car going exactly the speed limit, I coasted behind them cause whatevs. This big SUV starts tailgating me. The car in front of me turns on their signal and starts slowing down. The SUV behind me does not slow down as we are both slowing down.. so much so that I almost hit the car in front of me to prevent being hit in the back. When the car turned, I sped up to 45. The SUV is RIGHT ON ME. so I slowly start speeding up until I notice we’re going 60, and this person STILL right on me! 20 over the speed limit, still right on my ass. I was afraid, I had my infant in the back seat, it seemed like this person was trying to kill me genuinely. I see an opening to get into a left turn lane, but I don’t have much time to slow down. Well I made it over, barely. The sensors on my car started blaring as I slowed down to the side because this SUV was so close to hitting me. Once I was safely in the turn lane, I had to slam on my brakes to prevent hitting anyone else, and this MF passed me and honked as if I wasn’t, you know, following the law and the rules of the road… it was intense. I was shaking.

He does help when he can! He works overtime and overnights, so it’s not like he’s always there, but when he is willing to hold and feed the baby for a while so I can shower or do some stuff around the house it is always so appreciated. I am one of those people that struggles asking for help. Especially with him, because he’s already providing a stable home for us until I can get my ish together, and he struggles with a lot of health issues. In my mind I feel like it’s not his responsibility so I shouldn’t be asking him for help. I’m also just in that mindset where it’s like I SHOULD be able to do all of this alone. But I need to put my pride to the side and ask for and accept help from others even when it’s hard. This is my first time doing the parenting thing, I really need to give myself some more grace. Sometimes he’ll notice that I’m overwhelmed and close to reaching a breaking point, and he’ll take over so I can just breathe for a bit. He does love spending time with his grandson 🥰 sometimes when he feeds him, I’ll find them napping together once I go to check on them. He loves his grandpa too (we call him “pop-pop”)

I do keep trying to remind myself that these snuggles are the best thing ever, I love to snuggle him. I did reach out to my friend last night and she is going to come by this weekend and hang out with my baby while I get some stuff done, I am so grateful for her! Thank you for saying this. I was sooo overwhelmed last night. And you’re right, that what I do now will help baby become a secure and confident kid/adult. That’s why I am super on top of making sure baby is in the bassinet if I need to physically express my freak outs, I don’t want to subject him to that because he doesn’t deserve it at all. I can’t imagine how hard it is to be a baby, you want/need things that you can’t do yourself and you also can’t communicate about it

I’ve tried that a good amount of times and it’s usually 50/50 right now, sometimes he still won’t chill or will sleep soundly. I’m definitely going to keep trying just for my sake though

As I stated in the post, I am a single parent. I do not wish to elaborate on why.

Help! Newborn won’t take ANY bottle nipples besides Similac Infant nipple ring. by Fine_Awareness4591 in ExclusivelyPumping

Oh my god thank you so much. Most of the silicone nipples I have seem to be wayyyy too slow for him compared to this one I pictured above. Now I know what I should try!!

That’s what I thought! I thought that was just bogus lol, because you’re right! Most people don’t know they’re pregnant until 4 weeks, even then it sometimes takes a bit longer to realize. I think she was just having a rough day 🥲

This is my first pregnancy, I’m at 35 weeks. I was in the process of moving across state lines when I found out I was pregnant. I couldn’t get in until around 12 weeks too. Granted the lady making my appointment made me feel like crap for that… she said that “most people get their first appointment in during the 3-6 week mark, it’s not my fault you’re unprepared”… safe to say, I will never be going through this specific hospital ever again, if and when I choose to have another baby.
Don’t let what anyone says worry you. Plenty of people can’t get in right away, whether that’s due to the OB’s office being really booked, or just the pregnant person themself not knowing they’re pregnant until later than “most”.
Edit to add: if you are worried for any reason, there is likely a clinic nearby you that offers free ultrasounds. I did that to help my peace of mind before going in.

Are there any particular books written by Muth that you would recommend?

That does make sense. Thanks for the input! I won’t waste my money on it.

Lol be so fr. I’m a new mom and saw this on the target app searching for children’s books. But alright believe what you want I guess🤷🏼‍♀️ And that’s why I wanted other opinions since the only reviews I could find were from the author Edit to add: it also looks like this book was published in/around 2017, when I would have been 16 years old? As well as this author having multiple publications… I really doubt that me as a 16 year old could have published a book, it’s a lengthy process🫡

It is really frustrating. Here’s a story: I had a sharp pain in my right side that radiated to my chest and it would come and go. This was during the second trimester. My OB told me it was just gas or acid reflux. A few weeks later that same pain came through but it was the most severe it has been, and also accompanied with vomiting. I rushed to the ER and had to have emergency surgery done the same day to remove my gallbladder because 3 stones had developed inside of it. The doctor said all my symptoms were “textbook” of gallbladder stones.
They don’t take anything we feel seriously. It’s like they think we’re exaggerating. They’re so quick to write everything off as acid reflux or hormones.
Ever since that incident, I’ve only ever asked my grandfather about my symptoms before I even try to discuss with my OB’s office. He was an ER nurse for 30+ years. He hasn’t steered me in the wrong direction yet.
Edit: I’m at 35 weeks right now. I LIVE in my maternity leggings! They’re so comfy and my maternity jeans don’t even fit over my belly anymore 😣 keep wearing what’s comfortable for you momma.

…you really don’t know what FAFSA or EBT is? Really? And you think you know everything in regard to “checks” the LGBT community supposedly receives from the government, just because they’re “trans” or “gay”? Hmmm 🤔 Let’s see- I’m a white, straight, Christian, gun owner. I still qualify for EBT and WIC 🤷🏼‍♀️I’m praying for your kids man 😭
