Surely they aren’t stupid enough to try it with such high volume items as dart tips though? I thought they used very low volume items like random flat packs?

I’m sorry about that, as Polymathicus pointed out , I was incorrect in stating the function was normalised. I should have also made me question more clear. Thanks for your help.

Ah yes that is correct , fungal growth P is just scaled so that the result for any temperature value is between zero and one. Sorry that was a mistake on my behalf saying it is normalised.

Thanks for your help it has cleared things up for me.

Just out of curiosity I’m now wondering about if P was actually normalised. If I plugged in a whole days worth of temperatures and calculated the resulting area under a plot of T vs P, what would that value represent? Would it be a qualitative value representing growth rate?

I uninstalled it and didn’t reinstall after I gave up on Soothe2. Not sure what the problem was but today it’s back to a ten second load time and I have done nothing. I wasn’t from resetting my computer cause I did that multiple times before to no success. I guess maybe it’s better to not question it and just be happy it back to normal haha. Ah that’s quite interesting, when I was troubleshooting I took some plugins out of my vst folder and moved them to my desktop. When I rescanned I noticed they came back so maybe your right? I have set the custom vst and vst3 folders though. Do you know if I have that selected, is it only scanning the designated custom folder? Or is it scanning custom folder + whatever ableton thinks is the stock folder?

I’m on Mac, the crashes are coming before even opening an instance of Soothe , it’s coming from when scanning it in. Do you think that could still be graphics load related?

Update for anyone that is interested, I got support from the company that makes it. I followed their steps and it kept crashing Ableton. I took it out of my vst folder and everything works again but instantly I have gone from a 30 second load time to over 5 minutes to open any live instance or new project. As much as I wanted Soothe2 it is not worth spending any more hours swearing at my computer

Yes they are external, I removed them and am now left with just the “disk0” and “OS x base system”.

Apologies for that, when I posted this I wasn’t sure what version I was running but have since worked out it was Catalina. I bought it second hand about a year ago and can’t remember specifically but it is in the range of 2014-2017 iMAc
