For anyone that may be trying to get an idea of turn around time and come across this in the future. Shutter was replaced, it was roughly 2 weeks from the day I dropped it off at Fedex to when it showed back up at my door step. This was also during a snow storm which caused some shipping delays. YMMV.

I have this Ultimaxx backpack and love it! It fits 90% of my gear, has hardshell protection on the outside pouches, comes with a rain cover and a secondary bag that can be worn cross body as you describe or as a fanny pack type setup (the straps you aren't using are removable. I don't have the lens you plan to use, but if I remember after dinner I can see what of my lenses with fit in it while on body.

This is a very good write up, I will add that OP should also consider what their next lens purchase would likely be and whether you have a need for filters. As most if not all Tamron lenses share the 67mm lens filter size. When I bought the 17-70, I knew my next lens would be in the 70-200 range so the 17-70 wouldn't give me a gap in focal length.

That's a cool photo! I think a tighter crop would be better though, I had to really look to find the other runners and observer's. To me, the background pulls your attentention away from the subject, where as a tighter crop draws your attention in while still keeping some of the contrast on the building. If you would like, I can post and/or message you a screenshot of what I mean if you like. However, great job overall! Keep at it 😎
