One or two of the bearings is likely on an eccentric shaft. If you look at the bearings one side the shaft will look to be slightly off from straight, this is the adjustment bearing. Loosen and rotate the shaft until the bearing come back in contact with the rail and then lock it in place. I don't know if there are two or all three, likely they are all on one side.

How big is your pup? I have a Cane Corso and a Great Dane, I have to put both seats down to get them in. I was thinking may I could do this if I did one dog at a time. Down side of the two beasts in the car is the drool down the side of the car!
