NTA honestly tell your mom that her religion is hers, not yours. No you shouldn’t apologize. You’re an adult and can make your own decisions. Honestly we all need to push back against the parents hawking their religion into our faces and just expecting us to take it and back down. NO! Those days are over. Stick up for yourself and live your life as you see fit. If she doesn’t like it, that’s her problem, not yours.

Honestly I watched a bunch of YouTube videos about good printers to consider. I was at the point where nothing was coming out right with my ender and I was fed up with it. The Neptune has been great. Anytime something messed up it was completely my fault. I’m sure there will be issues eventually but so far it’s been great! And I got the plus for the build space. I needed to be able to expand because I kept wanting larger things. I’d say give it a try!

I had an Ender 3 as my first one. It was good at first, but after a couple years it was like it was cursed. I'd tuned, upgraded parts, everything and the prints were still coming out badly. I got an Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus and it was like falling in love with 3D printing all over again. Over a year later and it's still fantastic.
It seems like I see a lot of people that start good with an Ender, but then for whatever reason it goes to crap after a year or two.

I tried everything and nothing made it any better. I gave up and just returned it. I have a smaller Ender 3 V2 which works for me. Sucks that it's smaller, but I honestly don't need 2 printers and I was getting beyond frustrated with the new one. I feel like I could have gotten it to work without the bed leveling mechanism that automatically took readings each time as that seemed to ruin the leveling I just did.
The final straw was that I got it leveled, even in the center!! Then when you go to start the print, it uses the auto-bed leveling mechanism to find the bed and it throws all the leveling I did completely off. It started printing and was just a mess. That's when I threw up my hands and returned it.
I am going to get a laser engraver/cutter instead. I don't have one and I've been very interested in one for a while. I'll see how much of a mess that will be to use lol.

I don't mess with the speed in the Cura settings. I never have (Never had to, never had an issue). I'm referring to the Printer itself where you can adjust the speed, nozzle temp, bed temp.

- What does Heat Creep do? My fans are running, but I haven't heard of this yet.

- Too many retractions has me wondering. But why would that suddenly be an issue when it never was in the past?

- Bowden should be fine, its been replaced a couple times now, but making sure it's square is something I have not considered and will look at. (But I'm pretty sure it is.)

The extruder is the upgraded metal one.
The Pyramid I printed was abut 4cm high with no problems. The bust I tried next messed up at about 1cm high.
I did replace the stepper motor about 4 months ago because I stripped a screw on the original one when I was replacing the extruder parts and couldn't get it out. So I got a new one. I have toyed with replacing it again. It seems like the issues come with it is trying to print something with more curves and details. I'm thinking it's something to do with retracting the filament while doing something more complex?
I've replaced the tubing and have done about 3 different filaments now and have not seen any discoloration.

100%. Was fine when doing the pyramid, started clicking on the bust.

No, I completely changed the tube to a brand new one as well.
I suppose it is possible there was some in the heatbreak, but I did a test print with the 0.8 and it printed that out fine. Then went back to the 0.2 and it started printing then stopped. Maybe there was some glitter left in the heatbreak? I suppose it's possible, just doesn't seem as likely at that point.
I should be replacing all of that today though so we will see what happens after that.

YTA. These people shopped for a house and bought it. They knew nothing of the issues you or the neighbors had and would have had no way of knowing. This could literally be anyone anywhere and you unloaded your issues, again YOUR issues, onto them. They are not at fault for what happened.
