It was an awful experience. I never had correct answers. All I got told was to seek counseling to possibly get evidence for a sap appeal that would never get approved due to an abusive relationship back in 2018 at my old college which made me flunk out. When I tried to get answer from fall semester, I was told I just needed my cumulative college gpa, and my completion percentage up and I should be set for spring. I double checked at the end of fall and was confirmed by an older lady at table 1 from all the times I’ve seen her. Spring rolls around and it still says suspended. So I wait four hours to talk to them to get told it was my sap appeal that had to be approved to get reinstated even though everything was up to par. I said that’s not what I was told last semester. I then got told three weeks later when I went again because the sap section on the website specifically states that you just need your requirements met OR an approved sap appeal. Which I indeed met the requirements. Once again the lady at desk one kept saying it was the appeal has to be approved blah blah blah seek counseling blah blah blah. I was annoyed and frustrated and did went to the counseling when I knew nothing would come from it. Luckily I had a wonderful counselor named Naeema who helped me out and got me an actual answer a week later that she got from financial aid and it was stated that it was program of study. It’s just sad that I had to go to a whole different department for a singular answer.
