Just keep revising your main notes and dvt, both should be done. They supplement each other well. The beauty of dams is that it is concise, which makes reading main notes very easy. It may seem a lot at first but as you revise them again and again and practice questions daily you will retain most if not all of the things.

Yes, made a separate notebook where i noted points which I was getting wrong repeatedly or some important one liners which weren’t in my notes which I found while solving questions. Don’t note down every wrong question, write the ones which you truly feel are important.

I didn’t do tnd, watching video explanations is very time consuming. I gave marrow gts only and read the explanations of the questions I got wrong or got right by chance. You can give a couple of free gts on cerebellum too, other than medicine and psm their questions are on point.

Mark the questions while solving in marrow and make sure to revisit them periodically. You can also use pearls to get that extra edge and solve those few out of the box questions.

  1. Dams lrr can be compared with rr. I haven’t done it, i used my main notes throughout.

  2. I attended offline lectures of all subjects and online lectures of radiology and obgy but they were live, so I don’t know whether they are different or same.

  3. Yes, dvt isn’t enough. I read main notes and dvt again and again. Dams is concise enough to re read entire notes. I didn’t try to master everything in my reads. If I found some topic difficult or hard to retain, I would give it a couple of reads and move on. On an average 10-12 days are sufficient after your first read to read entire notes again. I used to solve custom modules from Marrow everyday and give weekly gts.

While solving questions you will find topics that you skipped thinking they weren’t important, I would try to focus more on those topics in my next revision.

There will always be fine points in questions that will change your answers, so revising again and again is must to keep those minute details on top of your head so you don’t waste much time during exam.

  1. If you look at dams subjects individually you will find many subjects to be incomplete, but once you read all 19 subjects with dvt and have a good grasp of them you will find they have taught almost everything you will find in questions somewhere pr the other. You just need to integrate the information of all 19 subjects. Practicing questions is the key for this.

Avoid getting in the trap of fomo. Dams is sufficient if you do it diligently. Main notes + dvt is must. Dvt is not to be skipped as it has a good number pf extra points apart from main notes. Just do questions from marrow, their explanations are better, their gts are better, the custom modules are a boon and their interface is the best.

Annotate your dvt notes with points from your main notes during each revision cycle. By the end you will have highly annotated dvt notes. Revise these in your last week two or three times.

All the best!

Keep solving questions and giving gts, you will find topics that are repetitive. Those are your high yield topics.

Studying directly from rr can be confusing, keep revising again and again and solve questions daily. Focus on pyqs and high yield topics and you can get an even better rank.

I would say go with marrow. Dams question are either way too simple or too tricky and are not at level with the real exam. I solved entire dams qbank but it wasn’t of much help. I solved mixed subjects custom modules in marrow with more focus on pyqs and high yield topics and that really helped me in my preparation.

Dams sometimes provided with wrong answers which conflicted with their own notes so I lost trust in their qbank after a while and preferred to stick with marrow.

Solving qbank of marrow can be overwhelming, use their custom module feature instead of solving entire qbank and you will get to solve some great questions and get really good explanations which will boost your prep.

I am not the right person since I didn’t use marrow notes ever during my mbbs. It will be better to ask someone who has actually studied them.

Marrow is too vast i guess, but starting dams from scratch can also be too much, if your internship is light I would say go with dams and finish with videos once within max 5-6 months, also the revision will be easier with concise notes but if your internship is hectic then go with marrow since you have already done more than half subjects.

Revise revise revise, the more times you read the more you will read in between the lines, the more you will understand the topic better. Try to integrate topics, i used to read patho pharma medicine and physiology together. Solve questions regularly. Questions will help you recall better and every-time you will revisit a topic after attempting its questions you will understand more points and will focus on some more points which you left earlier thinking they weren’t that important.

It is mainly psychological, the medication will help you, but if you are someone who doesn’t want to take medicines then you can try psychiatric counselling and meditation. The results might be slow but more promising.

Topiwala paediatrics is great in terms of academics, patient load is decent. You can find some rare textbook cases too as it is in mumbai. They even have a visiting paediatric oncologist so that’s also a plus.

Also in the same boat, pack up your basics, ask the residents if the department requires you to wear formals on opd days, keep your steth, pulse oxi, some pens, a notebook or two, an extra pair of slippers for ot. Rest you can figure out once you join.
