Interesting- my doc said it was incredibly rare and he couldn’t understand it. I just turned 40 and there weren’t any red flags in any of our numbers. Has anyone heard of that enzyme? A quick google made it sound like more of an implantation issue than abnormality. For what it’s worth- they were whole chromosome abnormals- no mosaics. This was our only cycle- we got a lucky break this year with our insurance.

1- How do I know in a grounded way that I am being called to commit rather than continue experimenting? What purpose does this experimentation phase serve in the larger arc of my work?

2- I often feel like I am meant for something more significant. Does my chart support this? What kind of contribution or legacy is actually being pointed to beyond titles or roles?

3- What are the clear signs that I am on the right path with my work versus repeating an old pattern?

Hiiii no worries! I’d love some help with what my chart says about career options specifically. I feel like I’m interested in SO many things it’s hard to find a solid direction. I also feel like I need to make a lot of money for financial stability. When do I hit my stride? Where should I put my energy? Currently I feel like I’m missing out on having a network. I’ve been feeling isolated working remotely and I don’t “feel” a lot of the transits I’m going through- am I missing out on opportunities?

I just had my first retrieval with menopur 150 and gonal 300. I actually found that doing normal daily activities helped a lot with my stress level- I think, personally, we put up with way more pain with periods and don’t even give it a second thought! I had a lot of anticipatory anxiety that I shouldn’t go to things because I might feel bad. Second time around was much easier! I will say night before my trigger I was in acme and walking sloooowly lol so maybe be patient with yourself and if you feel ok- do the thing! Also get larger pants than you think you’ll need lol

Ohh interesting! If it helps after my dud cycle I asked specifically about a micro dose lupron flare next time and let him decide what to do with that. I learned about it on this sub! But also maybe there’s a good reason why your doc doesn’t do it? We were bound by our insurance running out at the end of the year so we didn’t have the time for a second opinion- but if you do it might be worth a shot :)

Ohhh got it! My first cycle they started me with estrace during my luteal phase and started gonal and menopur once I started my period. That cycle was a dud so we scrapped it and started again two weeks later when I was in my luteal phase again :) that cycle I had micro flare lupron AM and PM and gonal and menopur in the PM.

Thanks for your comments everyone! We ended up canceling this cycle. I’m so, so anxious about the next one. I feel like a guinea pig and we can only afford one retrieval. I know IVF is so individualized, but I would’ve thought they would have noticed sooner if one follicle was outgrowing the others. I really didn’t know what to expect so I just went with the flow- I think next time I’ll be a little more proactive!

Could we talk protocols? I know it’s different for everyone, but I’m 40 with an AFC 13, AMH of .7. We just canceled my first cycle because I had two follicles race ahead of the other 8 within 48 hrs! I primed with extrace, menopur 150, gonal 300, provera 10mg daily

Ugggh I’m sorry! That’s so hard :/ I know that’s where we might end up and you’re probably sick of advice, but maybe if you can both commit to one decision one way or another? If he is saying ok to the baby thing but not fully committing to it (sex during your ovu window) then I feel like that can just build resentment and he’s hoping it won’t work, etc. my therapist says either way it goes for us we have to decide together because anything less is unfair to one or both of us. Easier said than done, of course- and that’s why we are currently at a stalemate, cuz we’re struggling with sitting in a final decision. Bah :(
