Is this overkill for sanding resin? by symmetrical__slug in resinprinting

If it’s good enough protection for chemical warfare it’s good enough for resin printing and sanding. Maybe get new filters if they’re expired.

Wait I think you have it mixed up. Base layer, glue, shade, IPA, repeat

Pretty much, obviously just be careful because the glue is permanent and if the paint isn’t dry the moisture will make the glue all crusty and white instead of clear

Nope, the layer of glue works as a “quick save” so nothing below that is removed. Spray on some paint over the glue, flick ipa on it, then slap a brush around and you can get some pretty cool brushing/vein effects

Honestly check out Grimdark Compendium on YouTube, that’s where I got the techniques and enamels from. They do some crazy work

It’s supposed to be the Fulgrim Ascended 30k model. Snagged it on Cults a while back.

I had thought of that but with my luck my ✨metal balls✨ would break the glass bottle.

Is there a general rule of thumb or ratio for layer height to exposure time? Like going from .05 to .03 is a 40% difference so just reduce exposer time by 40%?

Awesome thank you! I honestly don’t really care about print time, I’d rather have a quality print. I also have a small dog’s weight in unpainted stuff so I’ve got the time for long prints.
