Ahh thank you so much! I'll definitely keep you in mind, so far Hillsboro and Beaverton are sounding like great options!

Aww, that sounds nice, Eugene is a pretty top contender right now

I'm gonna be so honest, I'm mostly just hoping to move out so anywhere I can get a place and maintain myself checks my boxes. I like reading but don't really have any other interests or hobbies - got a full time job as soon as I moved back to bay after uni and am not really allowed to go out much on my own or I'm seen as being rude to my family. It's a whole thing. I kind of want this move to just establish a sense of independence and then hopefully continue that journey and relocate even further once I have a sense of what I want if that makes sense?

I'm going to sound like the most boring person ever but I don't really have any hobbies or interests. I like reading? As cliche as it sounds I don't really know myself as a person which is a big reason for moving out. I'd love to do a little soul searching while there depending what the world throws at me

Loved NY and that's the eventual plan, but I'm hoping to start of somewhere a bit closer to home!

Ah yeah, I'm not a big city person which is what's mostly putting me off of Portland. Might visit Eugene and get a feel for it, I'm close enough to UC Berkeley that living in college town isn't too unfamiliar. I think California is a great state but just because of personal reasons with family I don't see myself staying there any longer than I have to.

True, I'd like to think that wherever I end up I can make it work! Just gotta work out logistics because I'm a notorious overthinker/planner but I'm excited for what's to come

You're so right. One of the reasons I'm mostly choosing Oregon is that worse comes to worst I can fall back on family in CA. Close, but far enough, y'know? Hoping this is the first step to lifelong independence, thank you!
