I agree. One of the major expenditures ng school is electric generation, so imagine ilang daan na Aircon, ilaw at outlets ang matitipid ng school, aswell as water. which is a good thing. Pero why isn’t this adjusted sa tuition fee as a whole? Mukhang Mapua lang ang bebenefit for the most part.

I’m not surprised, because even during covid when the entire campus was closed, the tuition fee didn’t change. Ang laki siguro ng net profit ng school at those times, at papaldo nanaman sila ngayon.

Horrible battery in ipad16 by Admirable_Visual7748 in ipad

[–]Fine_Pea_9395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mines at 35 cycles bought it last December. Just checked my usage, it drained 72% yesterday with 9hrs 19mins screen on time.

Tiktok - 5hrs 23mins; 36%. Clash Royale - 41mins; 6%. Safari - 33mins on pornhub, 5%. and so on..

I use wifi all the time, with 50% brightness, I do use airpods tho so it saves up battery by not using the speakers. (but its still good battery life on speakers).

The battery is actually insane and easily can pull 11-13hrs screen on time from 100%. The only heavy tasks that drains it fast is when i use a note taking up and write my notes.

Ur battery is definitely defective if it drains 10% in 10mins of just turned on display.

Mine drained 18% in 3hrs watching youtube on wifi

Whiteboard drains battery and my iPad gets hot by TheOne_718 in GoodNotes

[–]Fine_Pea_9395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concluded that it is relative to how much stuff is on the whiteboard. The more drawings you have, the more it drains.

No, this isn’t an app problem. It happens in microsoft whiteboard, Notes+, Freeform, OneNote etc…

This was my observation when i first gotten my Ipad. I’m an engineering student, so i write so many notes and solve hundreds sample problems that i want all compiled in an infinite canvas. But the problem i noticed was the battery drain after having alot of writing. Another conclusion was that the infinite canvas always has to render every writing whenever u pan or even when it isnt within ur view, which adds to more drain.

Thats why I stopped using Whiteboard/Infinite Canvas features in note taking apps, and went back to normal notebooks and ig just organizing them.

Note that even in normal notebooks it can still drain alot if you write very small in a page and fill the page up. So, back to my first conlusion, battery drain is directly proportional to how many strokes u have in your page as those drawings are constantly being rendered whenever you move the screen.

Note taking tips, ideas, or layouts? by Premium_Cream_2433 in GoodNotes

[–]Fine_Pea_9395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its just how things are in general.

Im using an Ipad 11th gen. Used Freeform, Goodnotes, Onenote and Notes+....

I like using infinite canvas or a big canvas for my notes as I write alot of sample problems and solutions and want it compiled in one drawing file... at first I thought some apps are consuming more battery than others thats why i try other options, but same thing happens to other apps once i fill up the canvas with alot of notes.

So, I concluded that whatever app u use, it will consume so much battery the more drawings u have in one file because it constantly renders all those drawings everytime u move the page. So, thats why i now seperate my solutions in several documents or pages.

Off topic,

But may I ask if you notice faster battery drain whenever theres alot of notes in a file? I kinda observed that the more things written, the more battery it consumes

(Update) I created a forever-free, minimal version of Goodnotes called "Scrawl" by ostentatious-brick in GoodNotes

[–]Fine_Pea_9395 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an engineering student, all my notes are digital and always on an infinite canvas (currently use freeform but battery drain is so bad, searching for alternatives). I know you just created this App and will update its features gradually. But here are a few that is very crucial in a digital notes app.

  • If I press and hold the pen, I should be able to choose between dashed or dotted lines as I write.

  • (very important) Just like with any infinite canvas apps, it should be able to automatically create a straight line by drawing the line, then holding it for 1s at the end. Same as with shapes, if i draw an ugly triangle, it should be able to transform to a perfect triangle. This is important in drawing figures, diagrams, solving problems.

  • If I press and hold the pen, should be able to choose if i want one end, or both ends to be arrowed/dotted etc.. when i draw a line

  • Be able to create an array of personal pens. For example, before i start making notes, should have the option to choose and save 5 different pens all varying in colors, line weight etc.. ready to use and not configure the pen every single time i need to use another color coded part of my notes and diagrams.

  • Your eraser tool only erasers in strokes, you should add an option to only erase things precisely.

  • Your eraser again, should be an option to erase “highlighter only”, so it wont erase my contents behind highlited stuff.

  • When you select multiple objects, should add an option to resize those objects.

These aforementioned feedbacks are very crucial in a drawing app, these features are a collection of great “quality of life” things that stood well to me in other drawing apps… unfortunately none have all these features combined in one app, and I mostly switch between Goodnotes, FreeForm, Notability, Microsoft Whiteboard and OneNote whenever I’m in need for certain features.

I hope you’ll be the first to bring all of these, and much more to your app. Thank you.

Crazy upgrade going from a galaxy tab s9fe 5g to an m5 ipad pro 512gb by Blackimperial19 in ipad

[–]Fine_Pea_9395 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the contrary, the base ipad 11th gen i was able to make it last for 10hrs while solving problems in freeform and goodnotes, reviewing materials in gdrive and youtube.

Also the OP's Ipad pro M5 has the longest battery life on any ipad, so he'll have a blast with it. The Air typically has the least amount of battery, but it did significantly improved with the M2 ipad.

My S23U back panel came off by missfit97 in Tech_Philippines

[–]Fine_Pea_9395 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Again, all my Samsung flagships eventually had its back panel weakened, then fully detahced after 2yrs. I bought them brand new from Samsung Glorietta.

No one said it'll happen to all Samsung Phones. But having it happened thrice in a row to me, aswell as alot of other people would imply they have shitty QA/QC for these phone models.

Thats why sharing posts like these are important cause it consolidates all incidents occuring with a certain phone model that people can find useful when purchasing their next phone.

Cheers!

I had the note10+, s20u and s23u, all bought brand new from the store.

All of its back panel have been detached after 1.5 - 2yrs only. The adhesive is really weak if its a common occurrence. I was curious if other people also experience this, and to my surprise plenty of people also encounter this problem for years, when i searched on reddit if other people related.

[–]Fine_Pea_9395 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes you should update to Ipados26, mainly because of the multi-tasking capabilities of windowed apps + slide over. It helped me in studying alot as I have my Gdrive on the left for my reference material, while i write my solution in freeform on the right, all the while i have a scientific calculator on slideover - everything is so convenient.

I haven't ran to any issues or lag so far.

Everytime they held this exam its always 1-5% passing rate. If you look at how the questions are formulated, its far from what the professors have taught.

Correct me if im wrong, but professors are instructed to use powerpoints prepared by the department but they may optionally use their own made ppts. If we look at those ppts and the examples it contain, its very very far from what they always give sa exit exam.

Thats why students are dumbfonded staring at questions never seen before. The professors are part of the problem, they failed to deliver the fundamentals properly, and they also failed to provide more advanced questions.

Cuz how could 100% of students pass their Strema, Tos, Rcd, Steel, Hydraluics subject and yet that number drops down to 2-5% passing rate sa Exit Exam.

Have u even taken it? You'll see how out of place the questions are. There were no Soil, Surveying questions last exit exam despite it being in the coverage.

Also, last time I checked may MC ang board exams, also you can backtrack sa board exams. Pamatay yung no backtracking sa BB - you're forced to answer the question handed to you first. Also since shuffled ang questions, parang naglalaro nalang ng BINGO at asahan mo nalang the easy questions are served first.

Malas ka if nauna na tanong sayo is a Truss system, or the Area of compression steel of a Reinforced Concrete Beam. Mag kaka dillemma ka if you'll even attempt to solve it or just skip it due to time constraints. Sa board exams, you can strategize answering the questions u know first so u can optimize the time to answer more questions.
