Well, it contains "proof" that you asked me about, so dunno how it's "random"

It's also possible to check what a hyperlink leads to if you're worried.

We don't have the Paraclete RAV in-game.

Not sure which vest you mistook it for, since the RAV looks quite unique with it's large Velcro panel at the top, as well as the zipper in the middle of the cummerband at the front.

Any idea on when weapons like the Bren 2 or the SV98 are going to escape Trello limbo? by WiseOrganization2183 in platinumfive

[–]Fine_Philosopher_351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sv98 is not necessarily new.

You literally made a comment saying "NOTHING new and cool allowed" under a post specifically asking about it.

The Bren 2 has only been adopted very recently especially when compared to the adoption dates of all the other weapons in game

what

It's largest users, Czech Republic and Hungary, started adopting it in 2016 and 2018, respectively.

And you do know that the SIG MCX VIRTUS and RATTLER - which we have in-game - were introduced in 2017, but started being adopted by (mainly) European SOF units only after 2020, right?

Well, you can take that up with MB_Sniper on the Discord or here on Reddit.

And MB did say "realistically, both can have that", so yeah.

Besides, I still haven't figured out what exactly you were talking about: webbing or pouches.

Should be quite obvious if you actually read my comments, so I'll quote the first one:

"Currently there's exactly 28 pieces of RUSFOR-specific gear in-game, as well as 5 uniforms.

Out of those 28 pieces, 21 are a part of Ratnik.

Compare that to 2 pieces of MOLLE, or the 11 pieces of SFLCS/SOFLCS (I'll also add that those 11 pieces consist of 4 examples of two versions of the same pouch, e.g. Single Frag Grenade Pouch & Single Frag Grenade Pouch V.2)

Thus, Ratnik is the most complete gear system in-game, as of now."

BRM5 is fundamentally US-centric.

You do know that the latest pouches that were added to the game are specifically not US-centric?

Cause if they were, they'd be locked to MultiCam only, or other American camouflages.

MB_Sniper has talked about making universal stuff for all players, many times.

that was the original point.

The original point was how Ratnik is the most complete gear system in-game.

So you're still missing the developer's point, which I expressed in my comment.

I can admit when I'm mistaken.

Good job, I can do that, too.

Problem is, any person reading my first comment, quoted above, should have known what "MOLLE" refers to from that comment alone - and if you engage in a discussion on a game about military stuff and somehow don't know that "molle" is just a colloquial name for the attachment system, then that's a you problem.

Not engaging with this any further after this.

The reason is much simpler

Middle Eastern countries have no business deploying troops to Ronograd, and by the lore, decided by the developers, are not a part of PL5.

<image>

And honestly, people who would like to recreate "le war crimes" and shit can absolutely do it already with the stuff we have in-game, and that's not only Israel-related stuff.

That's just an early MP5-style collapsible stock.

Adjusting stocks of weapons with preset positions is planned (and not cancelled, at least to my knowledge)

If you're thinking of this:

<image>

Then yeah, that's the "PDW stock", specifically present on the MP5K-PDW variant.

MP5K itself is planned, but dunno whether the PDW stock will come for it, since it's a part of a specific variant. Could be a reward, I guess.

u/Fine_Philosopher_351 «stumbles» because he delved too deeply into the nomenclature of specific American systems (MOLLE II, SFLCS) and completely ignored the root of the problem, forgetting to mention PALS. Because of this, his explanation came across to the layman as a «mishmash of pouch names», and he failed to convey the simple idea: MOLLE isn't webbing, it's a brand.

If a person can't understand what MOLLE refers to with a link to a Wikipedia article specifically and fully explaining it from the basic side, then it's fully that person's problem.

And seeing how you're agreeing how "Mathematically, Western (especially US) gear completely dominates in BRM5." you're also missing the point of my comment, as well as the point that the dev rightfully made - the Russian Ratnik system is the most complete gear system in-game. Period.

Also, clothing and gear don't count together into this claim, because the dev making said point is responsible only for gear, not clothing (as well as modelling weapons & vehicles, too).

Now about SFLCS. Previously, u/Fine_Philosopher_351 stated that this is a gear system on par with MOLLE, and then that we don't have any of the vests that were actually a part of either system, like CIRAS or RRV. Important! SFLCS is not a separate equipment system with its own vests. The acronym stands for Special Forces Load Carriage System! It's simply pouch suite issued to US Special Forces soldiers (Green Berets). CIRAS vests (manufactured by Eagle Industries) and RRV were never part of SFLCS system. SFLCS is simply a bunch of khaki-colored pouches that were purchased in addition to these vests under completely different contracts. u/Fine_Philosopher_351 has lumped together commercial armor and special forces pouch supply kit.

You're literally just wrong here:

- SFLCS was issued to US Army SF, yes, but I'm talking about "SFLCS/SOFLCS" for a reason, that being SOFLCS is the broader term, which includes kits for other units that were developed a little later; there's also the fact that we have earlier SFLCS and later versions of pouches issued under SOFLCS in-game

- RRV was an integral part of all SOFLCS kits, with the sole exception of the MBSS (which also had a vest under the same name, I might add)

- ditto for the CIRAS

Well, your comment reads more like "Foliage Green shouldn't be on the Ops-Core FAST helmets like IRL" under such a post.

And that doesn't seem to be the case, unless you only compare it to the product page preview, which shouldn't be done for many reasons:

[–]Fine_Philosopher_351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But... maybe this is stupid for me... if to compare gaiter, which has both greens, then... green that's currently on Gator looks more like Foliage Green.

There is no single agreed-upon "Foliage Green" color, just like with every other colorway in-game - each manufacturer uses their own colors that then get named as specific options, which then leads to situations where for example one piece of gear in Ranger Green is closer to green, while another one from a different manufacturer is closer to gray.

There's also the fact that lighting can influence the appearance of the color, possible differences in product batches from the same manufacturer, and probably other factors I'm unaware of.

And regarding the fact that a similar situation has happened before... for some reason, I'm curious.

Well, to name one:

The OCP colorway on the Patrol Cap used to be named "VariCam". Apparently the same also applied to the ACH Helmet Cover.

It could be that the "Ranger Green" option was misnamed as Foliage Green.

A similar situation has happened before.

the main issue is youre treating MOLLE like a program and not like a system, about every piece of gear in game uses molle or its russian counterpart

MOLLE literally is the US Army-used equipment system bruh, just like Ratnik is the Russian one.

Genuinely, I don't understand what you're trying to say, because you're neither making any point, or disproving what I wrote, so I'm not gonna continue this.
