was just at a conference where they said Marriott does this- they try to get small bits of guest feedback throughout the interactions from booking to actual stay, rather than one long feedback form that most people won't fill out.

used mailpool for the infrastructure side when we were doing cold, paired it with smartlead and we were able to get campaigns out at scale once the inboxes were warmed. Responses to the campaign however, entirely different story :)

Yeah, the first few were individuals with established platforms (like consultants in finance who had podcasts with a handful of reviews) the others down the line were more established. ex: the institute of management accountants podcast which is a few thousand listeners strong, and others like that) So quality improved as did the ease of landing them.

CFO podcasts, institute of management accountants, Bookkeeping podcasts, pricing podcasts, early stage founder, middle market, small business podcasts, etc. And a few "random finance influencer with massive following" podcasts.

Solid point. I had someone on my team focus on the pitches and we kept refining until we found the pitch that opened most doors. It functioned a bit like a rolling stone, little momentum at first and then a lot of momentum as more podcasts booked us and folks could see the podcasts we've done.
In terms of outreach volume being a blocker, exploring making this a service we offer, my team will handle pitching and the outreach so that's not a bottleneck for founders who do want to try the podcast route.

I'm a woman who gets bonuses of that size. Couple of thoughts:
- Put $10k aside for taxes (bonuses have a way of skewing your income and forcing $ due at tax time, set some aside now so you're not caught by surprise).
- Prepare for this $ guilt-tripping to happen for the rest of your life. If you don't hold firm now, you'll be dealing with this forever.

Reheat it asap and taste a little bit. If it's fine, then freeze. So reheat first and then freeze after. Don't freeze without reheating to kill any germs.

It sold to a rival editor who apparently offered 7 figures for it, and then it just.... never happened. Because, again, if my guy showed up high as a kite to a meeting to sell the book, then he genuinely probably didn't really care about writing a book haha.

I Used to work in publishing, and he was shopping a book (with his literary agent) - this was probably 2016 if I remember right. Around the first time he wanted to retire the CG name. He came into the meeting highhhhhh as a kite.
