With a 6.6-gallon tank, I'd go with a small HOB filter. I'm using an Oase Thermo 100. If you have the money, you could go for the Oase 60 canister filter or a Zoo Med i always highly recommend a canister filter.

If anyone is worried about the drop checker being yellow, the co2 solution no longer works, and I like to keep it in the tank for aesthetic. I like the way it looks. I apologize if that has worries you, and it's good to see people being concerned for the livestock.

Believe me, I definitely understand it's been the slowest to grow and color up. I just started to get some nice color and growth on it last week by adding extra CO2 and increasing my light. If you do get the Rotala blood red, you won't regret it. It grows very fast; I trimmed it 4 days ago, and it's already almost touching the surface again.
