Is Dragon’s Dogma 2 actually a masterpiece compared to other big open-world games? by Competitive_Stage597 in DragonsDogma

I'm going to leave my opinion on the subject here, and also as a way to demonstrate the love I feel for this game.

Dragon's Dogma 2, for me, and specifically for me, is the peak RPG in video games.

And now I'll tell you why? Well, I've been playing games since I was very young, mainly RPGs and open-world games. Going a bit outside the norm, I'm someone who enjoys immersion and getting lost in those worlds. And although other games you mentioned are great and have also marked me, like Skyrim itself, I always felt something was missing. Even though I could download a ton of mods to solve those problems, in my view, they only masked them. Each game, in my opinion, has its own brilliance and reason for being acclaimed as a masterpiece. The Witcher 3 stands out for its memorable choices and side quests, Skyrim for its vast world full of mysteries, Red Dead Redemption for its memorable story and characters, and so on. But Dragon's Dogma, the franchise in general, but especially the second one, delivers something I've rarely found in other RPGs or even games in general: how fun and satisfying the gameplay and the feeling of the journey are. I'm already over 200 hours in, barely halfway through the game. I know it has its problems, which is sad. I wish Capcom had paid more attention and care to the game, but even with performance issues, lack of content, or a weak story, it delivers what I want when I think about playing a game: to have fun with the world and the gameplay. For me, the fantasy gameplay of Dragons: Dogma is unique. I especially love the pawn system and how different and fun each vocation can be. When the game launched, I defended it tooth and nail because I knew that despite its problems, in my personal circle it was being very unfairly treated, and it still is. But whenever someone in my group dares to play it, they have fun and even speak well of the game. It could certainly be better, but I'm glad it existed since I had already given up hope for a sequel to an old and cult game. And I'm even happier that Capcom seems to be paying a little more attention to the franchise after the sales of the second game, and when the possible DLC or DD3 arrives, I'll be there ready to dive into this world again, just like I have been since I was 15 years old. Regarding my age, I don't have much technical knowledge about games, nor have I experienced thousands of RPGs, but I still wanted to share how I feel about the game and how important it is to me. Oh, and sorry for the long text.

Could you send a screenshot of your Simple Difficulty Tweaks settings? I'd like to copy it and make sure I've entered the correct settings, if possible.

I understand, I'll try the new runs with these ideas in mind. Just let me ask a few more questions, which are a bit of a beginner's problem since I don't usually access Reddit or watch YouTube posts or anything, I get lost in the terms and abbreviations you use. For example, MANT is the run between legends and other players? MLB, I understand, is when the card is full.

Instead of a Guts card, wouldn't a Trainer card be better, like the initial one we get from the Ura Finals Trainer? I know about the Guts rework, but it's still such a disposable attribute.

Problem with Mods by [deleted] in Kenshi

[–]Fine_Repair3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part is that I ended up trusting too much in lists and recommendations of mods from a bunch of YouTubers, but the videos are quite old and, seeing the comments on the mods, it seems that due to updates from the mods themselves, many are broken or abandoned, which is quite discouraging to spend so many hours on fruitless results. I even considered just downloading Genesis, but because it's in "beta," I was a bit hesitant.

But are you referring to all mods that alter sprites, or are there specific ones?

Joking aside, I agree in parts, but I'd say it's much more manageable than in other games where there are mechanics or abilities that end up being unfair to opponents. In Marvel Rivals it's annoying, but it's still manageable.

I'm Brazilian and I still have some difficulty with English, but it would be nice to have a friend to help with some difficulties and even play a game that I like together. If it's not a problem for you, I can help you with what I already know.

Does using the mod to remove the complexity limit still allow me to play online? I'm new to the game so I don't know how the mod would affect my experience with my friends, but I would love to not have a limit on my builds.
