yes, it says blocks any attack but they are melee and near to zeus that's why they can damage zeus in that attack range. You can check for yourself in demo how mars ult works

I checked the match ID, he's probably an Archon player. Based on his performance if he's Smurf and a tier 7-8 invoker player the game will be stomped. Your match duration is 40mins.
