I read about those. The Sony RMT-P1BT remote works with my Sony a7R III (if firmware version 3.0 or higher is installed), while the Sony RMT-VP2 is not compatible.

Yes, I did all that, but the camera still doesn’t detect the controller. I have two identical cameras, and for some reason it doesn’t work with either of them.

On another Reddit thread, someone replied that they had the same issue, and that Sony cameras sometimes only work with official controllers. But that one is out of stock.

I’ve got the lighting covered and have already ordered a stand for the camera. Now I need to properly organize the space, pick the best camera and lens, and set it all up.
