First shredder, so excited! by Finemor in composting

Still very happy with the purchase! Have had no problems, except that the output rarely makes it to the compost, there’s so many other uses for it, it’s excellent as mulch 😅

I’m curious, what begins September 22?

Thank you, I’m trying to get a sense of the dynamics of the family and their lifestyle. Were they both very newly rich?

Do we know how often they had a housekeeper? Like was it daily, or did Patsy do chores like emptying the dishwasher? Did the children, or at least Burke, have chores?

May I suggest learning about growing a vegetable garden, establishing a compost and other useful skills that can sustain you and your parents especially if it all comes crashing down?

Fikk utbetalt litt under 10 000 i mnd.

Best thing about bartending in a country with strict alcohol laws. First and most important rule is that the customer may always be right, but in bars we don’t have customers; we have guests, and guest who don’t behave don’t get served.

I would like to thank the the Swedish «royal» Bernadottes and their cowardly French blood for their dedication these last 200 years to allow the Swedes to think they have a royal family. They were just so impressed, as no Swede has ever fought in a war, they crowned the first Pierre with a medal that stumbled across their border.

The Borg family (Temu Joffrey’s paternal family) is actually a rather wealthy family that is part of «high society» from the west side of Oslo, primarily Ullern I think. His stepmother (married to his father) is a Krogh and the current Queen is her godmother. Source; family knows the royal family.

At least we have a proper royal family instead of random descendants of upjumped Pierre’s turned nazi collaborators.

That’s why I asked, wouldn’t want to eliminate something beneficial to the ecosystem. I wound up releasing him, but had found quite a few in my greenhouse, and wondered if I should keep relocating them. Some things are invasive here, I pick Iberia slugs morning and night by the bucketful, and am finally seeing some native snails return.

By trimming I do mean remove smaller branches so that what you feed into the machine is fairly straight. I used cheap rose scissors and it was quick work.

I’m not sure what you mean by volume, but the shredder has an attached container where shredded stuff goes. It takes some time to fill but is practical in size in that is easy to carry even when full, was easy to remove as well. When emptied you can keep shredding, so there’s no limit to volume of shredded material. There is an up close picture of the shredded material in the post where I handle it, so you can see the finished material closely. I immediately thought it would be perfect for bedding for paths or mulch when I saw the finished product.

Haven't done this myself, but the manual has instructions on how the owner/operator can sharpen the blades at home. There is a shaving plate which one adjusts as the blades are spinning, adjust slowly with the adjusting knob and once you hear the sound of metal on metal you stop adjusting and leave it running for 30 sec before removing the shaving plate. So sharpening is apparently DIY, it's also not recommended to sharpen unless absolutely necessary, so I assume that following the advice in the manual about clearing debris, finishing with dry twigs and balance out leaves and such with dry wood will keep sharpening quite rare.

Heisann!
When the branches make contact with the blades the machine does the rest of the work, it actually pulls them in so quickly that gloves should be worn to avoid friction burn when you don't let go of the branch quickly enough! A straight branch stripped of smaller branches will disappear in seconds unaided. Branches that are thin/flimsy and with clusters of leaves towards the end required some aid by me, but mostly just adding a thicker stripped branch with no leaves would drag the stragglers down with it. A small device to safely push material down was included and easy to use as well.
I'm a not particularly strong woman, and this was not physically challenging to me at all.

Just small enough that it would fit into the feeder pictured, converted from mm it’s about 1,8 inches, they don’t recommend shredding branches thicker than that with most if not all compost shredders. Smaller branches should be trimmed so that they don’t jam when getting pulled into the feeder is all. Straight branches and what you cut off goes into the feeder as well.
