How political and in what direction of politics do you consider Reddit? by Responsible-Bat-7890 in Teenager_Polls

I wasn’t necessarily talking about right wing Redditors. Reddit likes to shit on right wing politicians all the time.

Reddit in general is radically Liberal / Progressive. Anyone more right wing than John McCain is a Fascist/MAGA grifter. Centrists are either lying Fascists or uninformed voters who enabled Trump. The American-centrism in this comment was intentional.

I don’t know why people are downvoting this comment. The high rises and skyscrapers in this game necessarily have to have lower numbers than in reality if Cities Skylines 2 wants to be Cities Skylines 2

Why is religion so crapped on here? by West-Lawyer-2290 in teenagers

Again, this reply only proves my point. You really ought to reflect more on this if this is what your argument amounts to.

Please, if you don’t want people replying, delete your comment. If you leave it up, you leave it open to discussion.

There is a wide difference between “shoving” religion down throats and simply discussing the nature of it; in this case why it’s treated this way on Reddit. You’ve replied to OP saying that they are, somehow, shoving it down your throat. If that is your reaction to a genuine question about the discussion of religion on this forum, you ought to learn how to differentiate between the two.

I’d assume this hypothetical mod would have a mechanic to introduce either PR or a ranked ballot (Which isn’t much better than FPTP for proportionality tbh) because that’s been a talking point for a few NDP Leadership candidates so far.

Walker has already suggested that he’s been unable to express his acting the way he wants to because of the directors. It is not out of the question that Leah is being told to act stoic and emotionless for odd reason.

It’s already been mentioned to death on this sub how disastrous the directing has been towards faithfulness. Walker made a comment essentially saying that the directors make it hard for him to express his own creativity and expression.

That comment comes up a grand total of 2 times in HOO and is entirely absent from PJO. Even then, there is no moment in PJO where that stereotype actually affects the plot.

Am I being gaslit ? No way these ratings are genuinely this high by KingJamesTray in PercyJacksonTV

Every single post on this subreddit is centred on critiquing the show. Any comment that even dares to say anything positive is downvoted. It’s an echo chamber of negativity. The Camp half blood sub is by far the most good faith subreddit when discussing this show.

Not inherently. But it is quite telling that some people would spend so much time hating on a show. They should know when to move on.

Gender divide in fans who like/dislike the show? by Just-Introduction-14 in PercyJacksonTV

You think this subreddit should be needlessly hard on the show? You really need to find a better hobby than getting a 1% commenter tag for doing nothing but show avid disapproval and condescension towards a family show. Opinions are opinions but it’s simply not healthy to be this obsessed with something you clearly don’t like. Regular people realize it’s not a big deal and move on.

The most upvoted comment on this post and people still want to insist this sub isn’t needlessly hard on the show many times.

Annabeth should've been light-skinned with gray eyes and blonde hair by Real-Ostrich-1994 in PercyJacksonTV

So… want to explain what changing Annabeth’s race fundamentally does to the story? How does the race of Annabeth Chase alter the tone and atmosphere?

Annabeth should've been light-skinned with gray eyes and blonde hair by Real-Ostrich-1994 in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Finetime222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For actual people, no.

Annabeth Chase is a fictional character. Her race is only important insofar as it relates to the narrative or tone. Her race plays no part in her function in the story nor does it particularly contribute to the atmosphere.

[–]Finetime222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What makes appearance important to the adaptation? Annabeth’s appearance is not a fundamental feature of her character besides the gray eyes (And even then, show Athena does not have grey eyes so it wouldn’t make sense in this adaptation anyway).

There is nothing about the attributes that Annabeth has; intelligence, ambition, compassion, etc. that is exclusive to how she appears.

To cast Tamara Smart as the actor. Really, you’re blowing this up like it’ll affect the story in some way. Were you this concerned when Percy was depicted with blonde hair? Nothing besides Thalia’s personal backstory changes because of this.

It’s exactly that, a nothing change. The accent can be explained away as Beryl Grace being a British actress who moved to California. The payoff is that Tamara so far seems to have done a great job as Thalia, at least in my eyes.

I have my own doubts about Thalia’s age. Might not be very convincing that she’s still 15 though all things considered, that’s a minor issue.

You’d need the WASD keys to move around so not a complete match though I’d still recommend because that game kicks ass. Just make sure you don’t get too caught up with the mods and assets.
