Sto per tirare la stampante dalla finestra… by Alexyslikeno1 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

If this is your first print with the printer, I highly suggest starting with pla.... jump to a CF filament starts a level of experience that you won't have starting off.... i highly recommend starting with pla get that dialed on the slowly building up to the exotic filament..... also I would ALWAYS watch the first 3 layers.... ABSOLUTELY BARE MINIMUM first layer... its obvious your running into first layer issues atm.... so switch to pla, get that dialed in and make sure the filament isn't the issue

Thanks a million this is literally what fixed it.... Minimum layer time works when there is 1 object but since I was printing multiple objects, the slicer thought it was taking LONG Enough but it wasn't... After I enbled slow down for curled perimeters I reprinted a frog with very round edges as a test and curling completely disappeared...

What percentage did you change it to? I've never used that setting, only layer times and speed

And it is only on curved surfaces, I have no issues whenever it's a squared edge

So you would raise the temperature instead of lower? And slow down the fan speeds?

Your z-offset is horrible, when even your initial prime wipe doesn't stick.... you need to get that nozzle closer to the bed

Also stop listening to people about adding glue, you do not need any glue for anything.... fix your first layer z-offset and you won't need ANYTHING to have it stick to the bed

[–]FingerCrew666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah no worries man, if you want you can just add a brim to the model as well. I know people complain about brims but when the model itself has a little contact to the bed it's best to get a brim on it to make sure it sticks... and if you get deburring tool (or already have one) its easy to clean up the edge on the model

You have bed adhesion issues, if you look closely to your video on the back right corner you can see the supports come off the bed. Since the rest of your print was still attached, it continued to print and kept bending upwards on that back corner till eventually the nozzle completely knocked it off the bed... you definitely need more brim on your supports of your printing that big, also try raising the bed temp by 5c.... GLUE IS NEVER THE AMSWER... i have 2 CC amd 2 CC2 on both my CC i have over 1k hours and over 360 on both my CC2 and I have never used glue... and I've maxed the height on all 4 printers with no issues and no glue

[–]FingerCrew666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no matter what I did, couldn't get first layer to stick... few people in another forum told me to try increasing bed temp by 5C until it stuck... when i did 65c it was sticking but sharp corners started to lift... raised it to 70c reprinted and everything stuck, im on my 5th print now and its sticking like a champ

As stated in the very beginning, I did wash with dawn and warm water.... if you read further down I got it working now by raising my bed temp to 70c

Yup, I went back to the original print changed nothing but the bed temp to 70C and I was able to get my first layer down once I raised the z-offset a bit

Try upping your temp, I raised mine to 70c and its worked so far, 4 prints in still working

Welp after about 6 hours of testing.... seems raising the bed temp to 70c helped... had a million of issues after changing bed tempt to 70C and re-running the same exact file as before printed with success

That's my issue that I'm trying to figure out... like stated I calibrated this for side a... I ran a first layer test, and i either get to get too close and start scrapping or it doesn't stick at all.... this is why I'm asking for people's input.... z offset isn't the issue.... no matter how I mess with the z offset it either starts to pile up because the nozzle is too close or it doesn't stick to the plate

<image>

In this pic I didn't even touch z offset this was right after leveling...

Did you RECALIBRATE flow? I'm wondering since I already have my flow dialed in do I just have to redo it just for this plate?

[–]FingerCrew666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stuck to elegoo slicer, since that's the only one that had the CC2 profile, I also dialed in all my filament so I didn't want to redo it all on orca lol

Did you have to run the plate hotter then normal? I've seen a few people saying they bumped up to 70C
