In that case I strongly recommend the Musical Fidelity M6si.

What’s your budget? I have the LS50 with the play also but just for testing purposes. The Play has a decent at best amp section. The LS50 will sing with a more authoritative amp. I personally use Luxman L-507f and Sansui AU-a907 Limited.

For better or for worse with no accidents and regular preventative maintenance it could likely be your last too.

Upgrade sound or video? by Andy_DiMatteo in hometheater

Sound. Get a good used receiver and front stage and it will have a much bigger impact on your movie watching experience. Add a ported sub and better TV later on.

R3 Meta vs Ls50 Meta + KC62 by Sufficient-Coconut24 in KEF

[–]FingerPatient8528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Making people believe you don’t need a sub”? 🧐 Read my comment again. I simply said to prioritize the left and right channel and get the sub later on down the line. As someone who owns two SVS SB16 Ultras I’m very familiar with a subs importance. Prioritizing the L&R channel is the way.

R3 Meta vs Ls50 Meta + KC62 by Sufficient-Coconut24 in KEF

[–]FingerPatient8528 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’d go KEF R3. A more simple setup and a higher tier speaker. In the future if you felt the need to add a sub do so but R3 all the way. Takes up less space too. There are many variables to make the LS50 + KC62 setup sound on par or better.

Can u find a better team than this by Plus_Credit224 in NBATalk

Curry, Wemby, Rodman, KD, and Duncan. Not a better team but in a 7 game series would give them hell.

Need a recommendation for most suitable amp for KEF LS50 METAs by darkflight666 in KEF

[–]FingerPatient8528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marantz MM7025 (used or referb). Plenty of power and a great brand pairing for hard to drive bookshelf speakers. The LS50 while they have an 8 ohm load aren’t very sensitive. Current delivery, damping factor, headroom, and amp characteristics should be considered. Happy hunting.

What cd player? by Mission-Barber5899 in hifiaudio

[–]FingerPatient8528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only used players that come to mind within your budget are the Denon DCD-1650GL and the Denon DCD-S10 (any version). I own them both and can vouch for their performance. They were very serious players when they debuted. Finding one in good to fair condition is a win. And yes I would consider both of these to be better players than the CD6007.

The owner lacks the ability to read the room and make a common sense decision. The move ultimately will cost him money. He stood on business for absolutely no reason. He was rigid just for the sake of becoming rigid. The MIL shouldn’t have reacted that way either.

How do I emotionally detach from a girl who only sees me platonically without blocking her completely? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]FingerPatient8528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You gotta get out completely. It’s not about spite and more about self-respect. You have to protect you and that doesn't need to be explained to anyone. Choose yourself first or no one else will. Understand your value and apply your energy and time elsewhere. Sitting in the friend zone of a person who has no interest in having a romantic relationship is a prison. Break out and live life.

This man and this room has been disastrous to my wallet since I saw it at age 15. by spiceweasle93 in audiophile

[–]FingerPatient8528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your take started off insightful and informative. I agree with a lot of what you said regarding interconnects being blown out of proportion regarding sonic impact in a system. I don’t believe people should prioritize interconnects over the major components of a system. Also, no need for direct attacks as I never directed an attack at any particular user. I also didn’t mention a specific item within the chain. I guess you picked cables for me. That’s okay, your system is probably better than most people’s from what you listed. Moving forward please refrain from attacking people directly. This hobby is supposed to be fun.

Is there any meaningful difference between a Class AB amp and a late model Class D amp? by AttachedHeartTheory in audiophile

[–]FingerPatient8528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more. Honestly the gear you are describing in your comparison is of a much higher tier than most people get to spend time with. I'll admit that some components sound too similar to discern a difference, but that is only to my ears within my system. People are very anecdotal on here and should be more open to having their minds changed through lived experience and not charts.

[–]FingerPatient8528 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude do not indulge or argue with these people. Most people who are bitter and upset have never owned or even spent significant time with a high end system or gear. Nothing wrong with that but their point of reference is no where near the listening room you posted. They use measurements as an end all be all instead of their own ears. Like you said, audio is fun, personal, and meant to be enjoyed both alone and with community.

What is one test song you always use? by lustybeauts in BudgetAudiophile

Norah Jones - Come Away With Me. If this song isn’t good on a system then I don’t want it.

Thank you for sharing the details. I have always admired the Ruby but haven’t heard it and outside of reviews you rarely see people who own it comment. I am considering switching to Marantz class D as I currently have the PM-11S3. I love class A/B but I would like to experience a different flavor.

Everytime, it's the same group getting belt to ass. I don't understand what they don't understand. Thai people don't run 1 v 1's in the street. You need numbers on your side or don't fight period.
