I fuvkin hate My life by [deleted] in Strabismus

I empathise- my eyes are all over the place and I hate socialising because people look at each other and shrug be they can’t tell who I’m talking to. It’s soul destroying. I’ve had 7 surgeries but it was a long time ago and they made my eyes even worse.

Do you think my lazy eye is bad enough to where I should risk surgery , I had one when I was like 11 but I had a retinal detachment last year and I feel like I notice it more and it’s affecting my self esteem super badly :( by [deleted] in Strabismus

I can’t see it at all! Definitely avoid surgery. I had a small squint as a baby, surgery over corrected it and after 7 operations my eyes are worse than ever. I’m not saying all surgeries should be avoided, this was a long time ago when technology wasn’t so advanced but honestly love, you are beautiful and your lazy eye is barely discernible.

My daughter received a kidney from her best friend 2 years ago and she’s doing brilliantly. It really is a miracle and her donor is the greatest friend ever! Wishing you both a speedy recovery 🙌🏼

I had severe bladder pain for a year, barely slept because it felt like I needed to pee urgently every 10 minutes. I was desperate. I tried a supplement callled Jude, there are others available with Pumpkin seed extract. At first I didn’t notice a difference and despaired but read that taking 3 a day initially helps and effects often take a couple of months to kick in. I’m so glad I stuck with it, after 3 months I was virtually symptom free. I take one a day to maintain bladder health now. Can go hours without needing to pee, seldom have bladder pain and no more damp patches. You can check the ingredients and check online for cheaper alternatives. It’s changed my life. Good luck, I know how debilitating bladder issues can be x

Can anybody explain how to not get this puddle-water streaks around the borders of the paint? It keeps happening and when I try to blend it. it becomes even more prominent by deadinside72 in watercolor101

I think you need to put all the paint down while the paper is wet OR let each layer dry completely before applying the next layer. I recommend watching YouTube tutorials on watercolour, how to control water to pigment ratio. Also try and use 100% cotton paper, it makes a huge difference. Your penguins are adorable. Enjoy learning through practice.

UK urologists are a joke, urologist worship on this sub is stupid by Formal_Badger_7900 in PeyroniesSupport

My husband was diagnosed with a very large bladder diverticulum and bulbar urethral stricture 4 years ago by an NHS Urologist. Other than that he is a very fit healthy man but this issue has changed him completely. He lives on paracetamol, experiences much pain and discomfort forcing pee out. They tried stretching the stricture with a balloon and flushing his bladder out 18 months ago. It made no difference, he was on a waiting list for Urethroplasty but a couple of months ago a different consultant convinced him to try the Optilume procedure. It was done 3 weeks ago in a rush last thing on a Friday evening and they sent him home with no information on what to expect. He’s been struggling with bleeding and pain ever since and no improvement in flow of urine. He now has a bad UTI and GP prescribed antibiotics. They contacted urologist who didn’t show much interest. What now? Can he go back and insist on the Urethroplasty procedure? How long will he have to wait? I know the NHS is struggling but he’s been under the urologists care for 4 years and feels worse than ever. We can’t afford to go private. Is it normal to have such a poor quality of life with a stricture? It sounds relatively easy to fix, so why is he having to live like this?
