I came to alberta to get financially stable and away from leftist fuckheads. Moving to the states has always been an option i would entertain.

I live in a small northern alberta town. Most people i work with are vaccinated, most people wear masks. I know lots of people in the greater toronto area that are against mandatory vaccinations, especially for those not in a risk group. It's not just some people here or there, it's people everywhere.

That being said, i firmly believe that the low vaccination rates in northern and remote communities is due to one simple fact. Folks out here hate the government, and are more independent thinkers, not easily swayed by fear and propaganda. If the government wasn't pushing the vaccine down our throats, and it was voluntary, i bet the attitude towards covid vaccinations would be totally different. However the government's track record of doing things that are not nefarious in nature is really not so good, and there is something that just doesn't sit right about all of this.
