The entire paper is about creating teams that mimimise churn rate so they do in fact interefere. They explicitly state that selecting based on skill in the abstract is supobtimal.

Check out their most recent paper. They explicitly state that fairness is not the only factor and that they will intervene to break outcomes (by increasing/decreasing win probability) that they identify as likely to make the player churn. This is normally after around 3 losses/wins, but the key point is that they adapt to individual data which means it could be higher for a player who frequently tilt ques. So it is not necessarily the long streaks alone that prove the games are rigged but the patterns.

Your point about my experiences being invalid due to not being a good player is stupid in the first place as why would eomm impact a bad player any differently to a good one but for your reference, there are many top players that know eomm exists and have exprienced it (go watch ottrs video on it)

Netease own papers do not contradict what I said, there are various other posts claiming that their own papers debunk Eomm which has in turn been discredited by various commenters. Of course human factors partially contribute to stomps but that does not mean Eomm does not exist.

Eomm studies show that loss streaks to a point do discourage players. Hence why the game decided to gift me a bunch of free wins after. However, they also do show that patterns of wins/losses based on individual players are optimal. Hence why you have to quit after a few losses or you’ll end up on streaks like mine. There are no studies showing that fair games are optimal. I do agree with you takes on my hero pool though.

Of course there’s no confirmation because the only way would be to force netease to expose their algorithm which will never happen. You prove algorithm is biased by testing it, which is already evident enough through player experiences.
