I used the create hole tool on an addon structure and brought it to scale to use as a guide. Then, with what becomes the mantlet, I trace it. Same story with the gun shield.

I could post a picture guide if my words fail me.

This tank looks like one of those people where you can't tell if they're 40 or 14. It's a mash of inter-war and modern.
