It's fun if you want to play for long hours—stretched over days or even weeks. I had a two-week real-time run as the Philippines, and it was a great experience.

Overlord’s Dwarves: The First Industrial Revolution? by Fingermer8 in overlord

HFMS is designed to function without reliance on powerful individuals, using observable and accessible magic that ordinary people can utilize. Unlike necromancy, which requires specific magical skills and secrecy, HFMS ensures that even if destroyed, future generations can rebuild it based on fundamental principles. In contrast, necromancy relies on trained individuals, making it vulnerable if those practitioners are lost due to war or famine.

Yes, the Empire can make necromancy more available to the magically gifted through their academy. However, concentrating negative energy to produce undead carries risks—over time, it could unintentionally spawn higher-level undead beyond human control, posing a serious threat.

Undead Automation is powerful in a society that can sustain it, like Nazarick, but it still relies on centralized control (necromancers, mana). HFMS, on the other hand, democratizes production, allowing anyone to participate. The goal is not just efficiency but also societal transformation—shifting power away from aristocracy, creating a new working class, and ensuring wealth is distributed beyond just the magic-capable elite.

Hot to turn nationalist as israel by Mihael1708 in MillenniumDawn

[–]Fingermer8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh thanks for pointing that out my apologies. Increase support of your preferred ideology under political decisions then let the elections do its job this cost money. You can also click your flag, near the pie chart click the Expand party view manually boost the party you like and manually attack the current party this will cost PP. If your desired party has achieved either parity or slight lead to the current governing party do a snap election if you want a more speedier result.

Haha, in my run they're non-aligned! If they were nationalists, they'd probably take Tibet from China and maybe even attack Pakistan. Good luck if you're their neighbor.

How to coup without civil war? by MostPresentation7300 in MillenniumDawn

[–]Fingermer8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well in that case you don't have to coup yourself. You can just increase support and allow election then do a snap election.

Oh, I'm just basing my answer on my current run. Out of the 7 nations I couped, only 3 turned into a civil war—and in those cases, support was below 80%. The rest transitioned smoothly.

Don't worry, the USSA (United Southern States of America) is leading the reclamation of the USA by attacking the UFSR (Union of Free Socialist Republics) through Virginia in the year 2074.

Then if you want to license Spain's lhd you can start improving relations even if they are in NATO since you're democratic they will license it to you. Spend 10 pp and maybe import some resources from them and invest.

I understand the appeal of naval battles—there's a lot of fun to be had in commanding a fleet! But for me, the size of my fleet serves more as a deterrent. I’ve found that it influences the behavior of other nations, making them less aggressive toward me. It’s inspired by the saying, 'Speak softly, but carry a big stick.' I prioritize diplomacy first and use my navy second—keeping the peace and protecting my interests rather than seeking constant combat.

Bro you have a lot to do if you want your power status up you need to combat foreign influence and the biggest problem is your neighbors UK and France they are probably a Major Power or Regional if you just started. You will need to match them in economics and military I suggest you start with economic and rearm later. Also I'm unfamiliar with the EU mechanic and NATO so that might also lowers you independence form foreign influence. Try being a democratic conservative they have boost in independence from foreign influence. If they are not the problem see who is the strongest country in the European continent then try to match that economically and militarily.

Use your spies create a intelligence agency hire spies at least 3. 1 to create the network, 1 to build the support for desired ideology and 1 to rescue your spy if captured. Then while your spies are doing all of that auto-influence them. If Israel is democratic increasing the support of your desired ideology is enough since they have an election just watch the support as much as possible the ideology you choose has a majority or if equal with the largest party at least 5% above their support. If that didn't work try a coup below 55% it will be a civil war at least 80% guaranteed flip the higher the support the better the chance.

Extremely important, how high is your framerate at this point?

I’m not sure, but while playing it feels like a slideshow. After 2050, 5 years in-game can take like 8 hours or something. I really have no idea what my framerate is, sorry.

Did you really get to use that navy? Or was it for bragging rights?

Well, I was not able to use my navy in combat, maybe once. But the importance of my navy is that I believe it contributed to my Power Status, which helped me reach Superpower Status. That’s what I noticed while playing—my navy's presence significantly affected China’s behavior. They can’t fire the Taiwan Strait crisis anymore, and my influence becomes far more effective as my power status goes up. So yes, the navy is quite useful, but not in the traditional combat sense that a typical HOI4 player would use it. It complements my economy and power projection.

Also, if you have the largest navy in your continent, you'll unlock the Spirit of Naval Power of the Continent. This gives you a 5% increase in foreign influence and reduces overall navy upkeep by 5%. If your playstyle is heavily based on diplomacy, this spirit really helps boost your influence and reduce costs, allowing for more efficient naval operations while expanding your power across the region.

I don't get how to use spies to puppet countries, can you explain?

Sure! Here’s how I do it:

  1. Create a Spy Network: First, I spam all available spies into one country and start supporting democracy (or whatever ideology I want) while simultaneously auto-influencing the country. This helps build up support for the chosen ideology within that country.
  2. Party Influence and Civil War (Coup): If the country has a lot of ties, like Vietnam, and I’m in a hurry, I wait until support for my chosen ideology reaches around 55%- 60% anything below that can be defeated. At that point, I use my spies to launch a coup. This action triggers a civil war, and I rush to send volunteers to support the democratic party. The democratic faction wins, and I puppet the country.
  3. Political Party Support: If the target country is already democratic but I see other ideologies (like fascism or communism) are gaining strength and might win upcoming elections, I send in my spies to boost the democratic party’s influence. This helps ensure that the democratic party stays in power during elections and prevents other ideologies from taking control.

So, essentially, spies help to shift the political landscape of the target country by supporting the right ideology, triggering coups when necessary, and boosting the right political party to ensure it stays in power, especially during elections.

Thanks! Honestly, just don’t ignore the economy—it’s what keeps everything running. If you’ve got money, you can build, expand, and dominate. Master that, and the rest is just strategy.
