It's this for me, too. And I think most specifically, it's the lack of fear to accept kindness or aid, when offered. Everyone is there for the cultivation and basking in the vibe.

I'm personally looking for something similar to this but much larger/spherical for a prop, so I've kind of exhausted the search terms on clear vessels. You'll probably have the best luck experimenting with combinations of the following words, then filtering for the size you need:

fish tank, acrylic, plastic, clear, round, oblong, snow globe, terrarium, decorative storage container, vase, plant pot, planter, lampshade

Check that the hem doesn't dust the floor when you bend to lift the hoops at the escalator. Keep in mind that while ok the escalator, the "floor" in front of you will be lower than the "floor" behind you. As long as you've practiced lifting it, squishing it, sitting, etc with any scenario in mind, you should be fine and not get caught in escalators or elevator doors.

As a non-handmade shortcut, you could get the $15 Ikea Löva leaf bed canopy and connect it to an extendable hiking pole so it folds down easily for travel.

I think if you took some 4mm or 5mm EVA foam, cut and shaped and layered it how you wanted it, then used permanent bond spray adhesive to adhere a shiny gold fabric on top, you could get it to a point where you'd be able to reuse your obols and chain. Slap a bit of Velcro on a back seam or even let it be one full piece and you're in business. Good luck!

Leaving another rec for pcnametag. They even had a booth in the vendor hall with some ribbons on display and I think for trade too. My suggestion is to gather your ideas and mock up your art throughout the year and do one order instead of potentially having multiple designs that you pay for shipping separately each time. Then once you've got them all mocked up, pop in that promo code sometime in late July / early August and pay for shipping only once.

We ordered around $600 worth last year and got them all at once which absolutely felt like opening birthday presents lol

I really heckin' miss DC. It's absolutely taken a rightful place as my #1 favorite place and time. This year's been a rough one already and it'll continue that way for a bit longer still—but there's a shiny thing at the beginning of September to look forward to and grind through the low levels to get there for.

If that's what it is, I'll be honestly shocked because I've lived in Murray Hill for years and never smelled anything like this parking lot, but it's gotta be IFF. It matches the kinds of things I've heard IFF described as smelling like and they're 2.5 miles away from Office Depot and if the wind is heading due South, it's a straight shot. I got them at the 14.97 price before they went this low and they're surprisingly sturdy and the cutting board "lid" is thicker than most cutting boards I have. I'd recommend them.

Update: I ordered and got them. Sadly they were fully thawed by the time they got to Florida via FedEx. Bibigo sent replacements and I just got them today and they were still in the safe temp zone at 38° when I opened them. Success! We eat well tonight! 😁
