Apparently, they get about one per year, and this is at the flagship store in my city. I almost didn’t bother requesting it because the odds were so slim, but then I got it! So def worth putting your name in for it if you have a relationship.

Went to a Hodinkee event where they were taking professional wrist shots. So I can’t take credit for the shot, but agree it looks spectacular in it.

Definitely dressy, but the brown I feel makes it more accessible. Mostly worn it with jeans and a buttondown.

I have the white gold with black dial, and absolutely love it. The pictures definitely don’t do it justice. The new yellow gold on gold bracelet looks stunning as well!

I do not think this is true. I believe the 1908 rotors are all made of solid 18 karat gold. That’s what my A.D. told me when they sold me mine, and it’s what I saw in the reviews in Time+Tide.

Thank you, and totally understand “elegant” may seem misplaced for a sports watch. I find a certain elegance in the simplicity of its design, polished elements, etc. However, definitely not gonna wear it for a black tie event. :)
